III. Embora sejam sistemas separados, o nervoso e o endócrino frequentemente trabalham juntos para ajudar o corpo a funcionar corretamente.
Crescer saudável, criança aspectos sistema endócrino similares sistema nervoso
acomodando, assim, diferentes necessidades no organismo.
2. receptor. No SN, a afinidade do receptor pelo ligante é relativamente
baixa.
proximidade do neurônio-alvo.
prodigiosa
capacidade
secretora. O
sistema endócrino
supera esse
problema por meio
de interações
ligante-receptor de
maior afinidade
(afinidade de
ligação 100 a
10.000 vezes maior) do que as observadas no SN.
relativamente diluído no plasma circulante.
neural informações rápidas eficientes e quase instantâneas;
GROW HEALTHY FROM CHILD TO YOUTH: VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE

I WANT TO GROW: VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM (ES)
ARE SIMILAR TO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM (SN), SUCH AS, THE USE OF
BINDING AND RECEIVERS FOR ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATION
BETWEEN CELLS. IN FACT, THE FUNCTIONAL POINT OF VIEW, THE TWO
SYSTEMS ARE PROBABLY RELATED APPEARANCE IN EVOLUTIONARY.

ENDOCRINE-PEDIATRICS (SUBDIVISION OF ENDOCRINOLOGY): DR. JOÃO
SANTOS CAIO JR. ET DRA. HENRIQUETA VERLANGIERI CAIO.
However, there are some important differences between the two
systems. While NS - Nervous system uses a highly compartmentalized
closed system cables to connect cells to each other at a distance, the
endocrine system (ES) depends on the circulating plasma to carry the
newly freed hormone to their targets in the periphery. As a result, the
time for the trigger signal is very different between - in virtually
instantaneous NS - nervous system, but delayed in time because of
movement for the endocrine system. Thus, while neural response is
measured in seconds, endocrine response is measured in minutes to
hours, thus accommodating various needs in the body. A second
difference relates to the nature of the ligand-receptor interaction. In the
NS, the affinity of the receptor for the ligand is relatively low. This allows
a rapid dissociation of the ligand and its receptor end of a quick
biological effect if the binder is degraded in place.
5. Neuronal Communication via the Synapse
Despite this rapid disassembly secreting neuron is able to maintain the
busy receiver, while maintaining a high concentration of the binder in
the vicinity of the target neuron. This is done through pulsatile release of
secretory granules in a volume or incredibly small space (e.g.,
determined by the volume of the synaptic cleft). The endocrine system,
in turn, has a large volume of distribution for several of its ligands (e.g.,
the volume of circulating blood). To maintain a concentration of ligand
analogous to those presented in the synaptic cleft would require a
prodigious secretory capacity. The endocrine system overcomes this
problem by means of ligand receptor with greater affinity (binding
affinity of 100 to 10.000 times higher) than that observed in the NS
interactions. Indeed, the NS is structured to offer higher concentrations
of ligand to relatively low affinity receptors, allowing for rapid activation
and inactivation of biological effects and in a relatively well defined
topography. Its effects are short lived. The endocrine system on the
other hand uses high affinity receptors for extracting the binder and
retains a pool of relatively diluted in circulating plasma. Its biological
effects are long lasting. It sacrificed fast response to accommodate a
wider range of distribution of the signal and thus to prolong the
biological effect. Thus, not only the systems are related, but
complementary in their respective roles that each plays in normal
physiological function. In general, the endocrine system is in charge of
physical processes which occur slowly, such as cell growth. Faster
processes like breathing and body movement are controlled by the
6. nervous system. But even though the nervous system and the endocrine
system are separate systems, they often work together to help the body
function properly. The foundations of the endocrine system are the
hormones and glands.
As chemical messengers of the body, hormones transfer informations
and instructions from a set of cells to another. Many different hormones
move through the bloodstream, but each type of hormone is designed to
affect only certain cells. Hypothalamic arcuate nucleus region connected
to the pituitary gland and find a massive amount of branches and
neurosecretory neuroreptores that will distribute through the pituitary
portal system commands with specific actions that will run slower
endocrine functions such as related to longitudinal growth through the
circulating medium, and the neural system efficient and fast almost
instant information; so we have to take into consideration that both
systems are interconnected in important functions that take sequential
but interrelated attitudes at different times but with parallel importance
to humans not only in longitudinal height growth, but in other hormonal
functions hypothalamus and pituitary.
