Crescimento ou aumento( ou diminuição) paralelo
é introduzido por comparativos precedidos de the
(artigo definido).

5. Exemplo 3
Aumento ou diminuição gradual é mostrado por palavras, no
comparativo, repetidas, ligadas por and.

further e furthest prevalecem; para a ideia
em tempo ou espaço tanto farther/

7. ( C) Elder não pode ser seguido de than e significa o mais velho entre dois e eldest
é o mais velho para mais de dois.Ambos se usam para parentes próximos,
geralmente irmãos.

(D) Latter significa este, o segundo entre dois, opondo-se a former, o primeiro
entre dois. Last, o último, se refere a vários e tem como antônimo first ou next.
Ex. Mark and Richard work together; the latter is my nephew.
