quando em quando, até mesmo lhe manifestará o Pai e

farão morada, lhe serão descerradas as visões dos
céus, o
Senhor o instruirá face a face e poderá alcançar um
conhecimento
perfeito dos mistérios de Deus.

seus mandamentos
realmente sentem a influência e conforto do
Salvador
em seus corações e não temem ao mundo. Ao
enfrentar o perigo
que os ameaça, podem orar a Deus e ele
responderá através
da voz "suave e delicada" do Espírito Santo, e
pronunciará

16. Sua Expiação é o evento mais
sublime que já ocorreu ou
ocorrerá desde a aurora da
Criação até a eternidade sem
fim.
É o supremo ato de bondade e graça que somente
um deus poderia realizar. Por meio dele, todos os
termos e condições do plano eterno de salvação
do Pai tornaram-se operantes.
17. No Jardim do Getsêmani
Não sabemos, não podemos
imaginar, nenhuma mente mortal é
capaz de conceber a total
abrangência do que Cristo fez no
Getsêmani.
Sabemos que Ele suou grandes gotas
de sangue de cada poro ao sorver do
cálice amargo que o Pai Lhe dera.
Sabemos que Ele sofreu, tanto física
quanto espiritualmente, mais do que é
possível a um homem sofrer, sem que
morra.
18. Sabemos que de alguma forma incompreensível
para nós, Seu sofrimento satisfez as exigências da
justiça, resgatou das dores e penas do pecado as
almas penitentes e pôs a misericórdia ao alcance
de todos que crerem em Seu santo nome.
Se é que podemos estimar, com nossa
compreensão limitada, estimamos que essas
agonias infinitas — esse sofrimento incomparável
— tenham durado cerca de três ou quatro horas.
19. E agora, no que tange a essa
Expiação perfeita, realizada com o
derramamento do sangue de Deus
— testifico que ela ocorreu no
Getsêmani e no Gólgota, e no
tocante a Jesus Cristo, testifico que
Ele é o Filho do Deus vivo e foi
crucificado pelos pecados do
mundo. Ele é nosso Senhor, nosso
Deus e nosso Rei. Isso sei por mim
mesmo, independentemente de
qualquer outra pessoa.

um dia sentirei as marcas dos
cravos em Suas mãos e em Seus
pés e molharei Seus pés com
minhas lágrimas.
Mas nesse momento não saberei
melhor do que já sei agora que Ele
é o Filho Onipotente de Deus, que
Ele é nosso Salvador e Redentor e
que a salvação vem por meio de
