This dissertation examines how the Brazilian military regime (1964-1980) interfered with the teacher training process at the Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras Santo Tomás de Aquino (FISTA) in Uberaba, MG. It analyzes how the regime's educational policies and USAID agreements influenced FISTA's curriculum and affected the quality of its traditionally humanist-Christian education. Through historical research and interviews, the study concludes that the technical model imposed by international organizations during this period did impact teacher training at FISTA.
