2. TO BE
O mais famoso e “odiado” verbo da Língua Inglesa, porém de fácil entendimento. Afirmo
isto porque ele é muito versátil e, como os demais verbos, sempre dependerá do contexto
para atribuirmos significado.
Ele é usado para descrever e identificar pessoas, objetos, fenômenos da natureza e aind
quando usamos expressões de lugar, tempo e idade.1
Para além destas informações é necessário conhecer os sujeitos para que o verbo seja
usado adequadamente. Para tal, elaborei um mapa conceitual simples. Ele mostra os suje
a estrutura e o uso do do “to be” em 4 tempos verbais distintos.

3. Subjectcs
. Os “subjectcs” também conhecidos como “person”, que, neste caso, é o termo adequado para
nos indicar a variação/ mudança dos verbos. Isto é, da mesma forma que ocorre em português,
nós conjugamos os verbos em inglês. Que no caso do “To be” se resume a apenas três variações
(flexões) no presente e duas no passado

Expressões de tempo usadas: now (agora), currently (atualmente,
at the moment (no momento), right now (agora mesmo)
Expressões de tempo usadas: last night / week / month / year [noite /
semana / mês / ano passado], on [no, na], the day before yesterday [antes
de ontem], the other day [outro dia], yesterday [ontem].
