Native Americans lived in the region of Nevada for thousands of years before European exploration. Nevada was part of the Spanish colonies until 1821 when Mexico gained independence, then becoming part of Mexico. In 1848, the US defeated Mexico in war and Nevada became part of the US.
2. History of Nevada
Native Americans lived in the area where today is located the state
of Nevada thousands of years before the arrival of the first
European explorers. The first European to explore the region was
the Spaniard Francisco Garcés in 1776, having sailed from New
Mexico to California. Nevada was then part of the Spanish colonies in
the Americas. In 1821, Mexico became independent from Spain.
Nevada then became controlled by Mexico. Also in 1848, Mexico was
defeated by the United States in the Mexican-American War, which
had begun in 1846. As a result, the entire Nevada region became
part of the United States.
primeiros exploradores europeus. O primeiro europeu a
4. Population
Nevada has the highest rates of
population growth throughout the United
States, thanks in large part to the large
immigration of Mexicans in the region. The
population growth of the state between
1990 and 2000 was 66.3%, while the
population of the country as a whole grew
13.1%.

enquanto a população do país como um
todo cresceu 13,1%.

The state of Nevada has a desert climate,
with two distinct seasons. The winters are
long and been very cold, while summers

Reno sometimes registers differences
between the maximum and the minimum
of a given day greater than 25 ° C.
