Comparativo e Superlativo de Superioridade
O comparativo e superlativo de superioridade é formado considerando o número de
sílabas do adjetivo.
1. Adjetivos de uma sílaba
comparativo: adjetivo + er + than
superlativo: the + adjetivo + est
Exemplos:
old (velho) – older (mais velho) – the oldest (o mais velho)
clean (limpo) – cleaner (mais limpo) – the cleanest (o mais limpo)
tall (alto) – taller (mais alto) – the tallest (o mais alto)
small (pequeno) – smaller (menor) – the smallest (o menor)
big (grande) – bigger (maior) – the biggest (o maior)
thin (magro, fino) – thinner (mais magro, mais fino) – the thinnest (o mais magro, o

easy (fácil) – easier (mais fácil) – the easiest (o mais fácil)

moderno)

confuso)
Exemplos:
simple (simples) – simpler / more simple – the simplest / the most simple
gentle (suave) – gentler / more gentle – the gentlest / the most gentle

mais importante)
beautiful (bonito) – more beautiful (mais bonito) – the most beautiful (o mais bonito)
interesting (interessante) – more interesting (mais interessante) – the most interesting
Alguns exemplos:
