18. 9. Present Perfect OBSERVATIONS ABOUT PERFECT TENSES Perfect tenses use the auxiliary verb TER + main verb past participle (-ado/-ido). TER is irregular in many tenses. Some verbs also have irregular past participles. Tenho falado bastante português. I’ve been speaking quite a bit of Portuguese. O dono não tem aberto a boate.
