Paul, who persecuted Christians, experienced a vision of Jesus on the road to Damascus and became blind. He was healed by Ananias and immediately began preaching that Jesus is the Son of God. Though the Jews planned to kill Paul, he escaped Damascus with help and continued preaching about Jesus in other cities.
2. Paul did not believe in Jesus, and so he
persecuted the believers. He went from house to
house in Jerusalem to arrest both men and women
and to put them in prison.
3. While Paul was on his way to Damascus, a bright
light from heaven shone all around him, and he
fell to the ground. Paul heard someone say, "Paul!
Paul! Why do you persecute me?" Paul asked,
"Who are you, Master?" Jesus replied to him, "I
am Jesus. You are persecuting me!"
ele caiu no chão. Ele ouviu uma voz lhe dizer: “Paulo,
Paulo! Por que você me persegue?” Assustado, ele
perguntou: “Quem é o senhor, Mestre?” E a voz
respondeu: “Eu sou Jesus, aquele que você persegue!”
4. When Paul got up, he could not see. His friends
had to lead him into Damascus.
5. There was a disciple in
Damascus named
Ananias. God said to him,
"Go to the house where
Paul is staying. Place your
hands on him so that he
can see again.”
So Ananias went to
Paul and placed his hands
on him. Paul immediately
was able to see again!
Havia um discípulo
de Jesus em Damasco
chamado Ananias. Deus
lhe disse: “Vá até a casa
onde Paulo está e
coloque suas mãos
sobre a cabeça dele
para que ele volte a
enxergar.”
Então, Ananias foi
até Paulo e pôs as mãos
sobre ele. Paulo voltou a
enxergar naquele
momento!
6. Right away, Paul began preaching in Damascus,
saying, "Jesus is the Son of God!" The people
were amazed that the man who had tried to
destroy the believers now also believed in
Jesus!
Jesus!
7. After many days, the Jews made a
plan to kill Paul. But Paul heard about
the plan, and his friends helped him
escape. One night they lowered him
over the city wall in a basket. After
Paul escaped from Damascus, he
continued to preach about Jesus.
Depois de muitos dias, os judeus
planejaram matar Paulo.
8. Paul traveled to many
cities, preaching and
teaching people the
good news about
Jesus. He also wrote
many letters to
encourage and teach
the believers. Some of
these letters became
books of the Bible.
Paulo viajou para várias
cidades falando e
ensinando as boas
novas de Jesus. Ele
também escreveu
muitas cartas para
encorajar e ensinar os
cristãos. Algumas
dessas cartas se
tornaram livros da
Bíblia.
