O documento discute a avaliação heurística, um método de avaliação de usabilidade que envolve a inspeção da interface do usuário com base em um conjunto de diretrizes de usabilidade. O método fornece avaliações rápidas e de baixo custo para identificar problemas comuns de usabilidade durante o design iterativo. O documento descreve o conceito, vantagens e desvantagens da avaliação heurística, bem como suas principais fases: planejamento, execução e revisão.

4. Conceito
Por ser um método de inspeção, a
avaliação heurística foi proposta
como uma alternativa de avaliação
rápida e de baixo custo, quando
comparada a métodos empíricos. A
avaliação heurística tem como base
um conjunto de diretrizes de usabi-
lidade, que descrevem características
desejáveis da interação e da inter-
face.
A avaliação heurística é um método
de avaliação de IHC criado para
encontrar problemas de usabilidade
durante um processo de design
iterativo. Esse método de avaliação
orienta os avaliadores a inspecionar
sistematicamente a interface em
busca de problemas que prejudiquem
a usabilidade.
6. Vantagens
• Acesso a um conjunto diverso de
avaliadores: diferentes avaliadores podem
trazer perspectivas e experiências
diferentes, ajudando a identificar uma ampla
gama de problemas de usabilidade.
• Baixo custo: como não é necessário
recrutar participantes para testes de
usabilidade, a avaliação heurística pode ser
uma opção mais barata do que outros
métodos de avaliação de usabilidade.
• Economia de tempo e recursos: a avaliação
heurística pode ser realizada rapidamente
sem a necessidade de recrutar participantes
para testes de usabilidade.
• Identificação rápida de problemas de
usabilidade: como a técnica utiliza um
conjunto de heurísticas, o avaliador pode
identificar rapidamente problemas comuns
de usabilidade e sugerir melhorias.
7. Desvantagens
• Limitações do avaliador: a eficácia da
avaliação heurística depende da experiência
e habilidade do avaliador em identificar
problemas de usabilidade e sugerir
melhorias.
• Limitações das heurísticas: as heurísticas
utilizadas podem não ser aplicáveis a todos
os produtos digitais ou contextos de uso.
• Falta de representatividade do usuário:
como a avaliação heurística não envolve
usuários reais, os problemas identificados
podem não ser necessariamente os mesmos
que os usuários enfrentam na vida real.
• Foco em problemas específicos: a
avaliação heurística pode ser eficaz para
identificar problemas de usabilidade
específicos, mas pode não detectar
problemas mais amplos, como questões
relacionadas à experiência do usuário ou ao
contexto de uso.
9. Planejamento
• O especialista deve conhecer todas as
possibilidades da interface e
funcionalidades.
• As funcionalidades a serem testadas são
definidas.
• Nesta fase, os avaliadores devem ser
selecionados e treinados nas heurísticas que
serão utilizadas na avaliação. Além disso, é
importante definir o objetivo da avaliação,
estabelecer critérios de avaliação e
selecionar o que será testado.
10. Execução
• Para sistema em geral pode utilizar as
Heurísticas de Nielsen
• Para sistema mobile pode se utilizar as
Heurísticas de Bertini
• Em casa tela, cada especialista confronta o
quer ver seguindo as heurísticas
previamente definidas. Eles podem utilizar
técnicas como a análise de documentos (por
exemplo, guias de estilo, manuais de
usuário) e a revisão do produto digital em si
(por exemplo, navegar pelas telas do
aplicativo) para identificar problemas de
usabilidade.
11. Execução
• Deve executar cada funcionalidade se
colocando no lugar do usuário.
Processo:
• De 3 a 5 especialistas, os especialistas
documentam os problemas de usabilidade
encontrados durante a inspeção. Eles
podem classificar os problemas de acordo
com sua gravidade, prioridade e impacto no
usuário e no negócio.
12. Execução
Gravidade:
1. Problema cosmético: deve ser corrigida
apenas em caso de tempo extra.
2. Problema de usabilidade menor: a
correção é uma tarefa de baixa
prioridade.
3. Problema de usabilidade maior: é
importante ser tratado com grande
prioridade.
4. Catástrofe de usabilidade: é obrigatório
corrigir antes que o produto seja
lançado.
Processo:
• De 3 a 5 especialistas, os especialistas
documentam os problemas de usabilidade
encontrados durante a inspeção. Eles
podem classificar os problemas de acordo
com sua gravidade, prioridade e impacto no
usuário e no negócio.
13. Revisão
E feita a elaboração de um relatório com os
resultados da avaliação heurística, que inclui
a descrição dos problemas de usabilidade
encontrados, as sugestões de melhorias
propostas e as recomendações para ações
futuras.
Nesta fase, os especialistas sugerem
soluções para os problemas de usabilidade
identificados, que podem incluir
modificações no design, na interface do
usuário, na estrutura de informação e nas
funcionalidades do produto digital.
16. Visibilidade do estado do sistema,
prevenção de erros.
O elemento secundário Cadastre-se tem mais destaque do que o elemento Confirmar. Isso
pode levar o usuário a acionar o botão errado ou se perguntar se entrou corretamente na
tela de login, e até mesmo voltar para a página anterior e repetir a operação de acesso a
essa página.
Local: abaixo do formulário, apenas nessa tela.
Severidade: 3 (problema grande).
Recomendação: destacar o botão primário
(Confirmar) e reduzir a ênfase dos botões
secundários (Cadastre-se e Esqueci senha).
17. Controle e liberdade do usuário.
Os usuários não têm a opção, através do Web site, de voltar à página anterior. Para isso,
precisam utilizar o botão de volta do próprio navegador.
Local: ausência de um botão de voltar.
Severidade: 2 (problema pequeno).
Recomendação: incluir um botão Voltar como
botão secundário do formulário.
18. Consistência e padronização,
prevenção de erros.
Os campos de preenchimento alternativo(“Email:” e “ou CPF/CNPJ:”) não estão claramente
marcados, como de costume, por botões de opção (radio buttons). Como os usuários
costumam seguir dicas visuais melhor do que instruções textuais, muitos preencherão os
dois campos.
Local: formulário de login, campos “Email:” e
“ou CPF/CNPJ:”.
Severidade: 2 (problema pequeno).
Recomendação: identificar os campos alterna-
tivos por botões de opção, que devem ser
automaticamente selecionados quando o
usuário inicia a digitação no campo
correspondente.
19. Flexibilidade e eficiência de uso,
consistência e padronização.
Local: formulário de login, ausência de botões
de seleção (checkboxes).
Severidade: 2 (problema pequeno).
Recomendação: oferecer um checkbox
Lembrar dos meus dados e/ou um checkbox
Manter meu login ativo por 15 dias.
O usuário não tem a opção de pedir para o sistema se lembrar do seu e-mail ou mesmo
manter seu login ativo, como ocorre em boa parte dos sites de comércio eletrônico.
