EXAMINATION
REFORMS
ARE
ESSENTIAL
IN
ORDER
TO
TRANSFORM
EDUCATION
SYSTEM.
EXAMINATION
REFORMS
CAN
ENABLE
TRANSFORMATION
OF
STUDENTS

The
present
examination
system
focuses
on
only
remembering
part
–
but
there
is
a
need
to
focus
on
creativity
and
problem
solving.
Are
you
asking
questions
like
this
in
examinations:
-‐
a. Define
Consumer
Surplus
b. Define
Perfect
Market
These
types
of
questions
show
that
you
need
to
change
the
examination
system.
Steps
for
examination
reforms
:
-‐
a. set
your
goals
–
which
are
in
terms
of
program

course
objectives
etc.These
objectives
should
be
expressed
in
clear
terms
(action
verbs)

whether
these
objectives
have
been
achieved

progress
-‐
direct
and
indirect.
Direct
method
consist
of
evaluating
the
systems
(which
is
what
we
call
as
examination)
–
to
ensure
that
the
student
has
acquired
skills,
competencies,
attitude
and
expertise
as
planned.
In
indirect
method,
you
ask
the
industry
for
their
feedback.
You
also
take
feedback
of
the
students
about
teaching
–
learning
process.
d. Examination
system
consists
of
continuous
evaluations
which
are
designed
to
ensure
that
the
students
are
able
to
learn
and
apply
the
principles.
e. Adopt
open
book
examinations,
group
examinations,
projects,
case
discussions
and
multiple
means
of
evaluating
performance
of
the
students.
