to develop and sell a router,
but the company was the
first who created a
commercially successfull
multi-protocol router.
11. Cisco Operations in Turkey
Cisco Systems is operating since 1996 in Turkey. In that
time the firm has provided infrastructure services to
companies such as Koç, Eczacıbaşı, Turkcell and Türk
Telekom. Cisco is planning to invest $250 million in
Turkey for the next 5 years. Cisco also organised
ciscoexpo in in turkey in 2006 which is an organisation
about technologic developments organised every year in
25 companies. As a nice detail Taşkın who works as a
system engineer for cisco's wireless communication won
Cisco innovator award for his br1410 design.
