This thesis analyzed the influence of planting and harvesting seasons on sugarcane productivity. It tested the hypotheses that there is an interaction between planting and harvesting seasons, and between muda (cuttings) treatments (whole or cut) and each planting season. The research was conducted in Piracicaba, SP, Brazil using three varieties (SP 70-1143, NA 56-79, SP 71-1406) planted in November, January, March, and May over three years.
