MEETING OBJECTIVES
ROTEIRO – é a turma que desenvolve a história em sua
forma cinematográfica. Quantas pessoas escrevem um
roteiro? E como escrevem?
Na literatura, quase sempre é apenas uma pessoa que
cria e concretiza a história na forma de um conto ou
um romance.
Duplas são raras. Trios são quase inexistentes.
CINEMA
No cinema, entretanto, as colaborações são muito mais
comuns. Alguém tem uma ideia para um filme e
conversa com outra pessoa sobre essa ideia. Eles
podem escrever juntos a primeira versão do roteiro. Ou
combinar qualquer outra forma de trabalho coletivo,
envolvendo mais pessoas. Numa novela de TV, é
comum que haja um autor principal e um grupo de
cinco ou seis roteiristas, que escrevem de acordo com
as normas gerais traçadas pelo autor principal. Quando
falarmos sobre o processo de roteirização voltaremos a
esse tema.
Por enquanto é importante dizer que o roteiro, quando
concluído, é o documento que permite a toda a equipe saber que
filme será realizado. A história, escrita por uma, duas, três, ou até
mais pessoas, agora está disponível para todos na forma de um
guia preciso, que conta o que acontece, o que os personagens
falam e em que ordem o filme será montado.

Planejando as cenas
Chamamos de TOMADA (em inglês, “TAKE”) tudo que é registrado pela câmera desde o
momento em que ela é ligada (REC) até o momento em que ela é desligada (PAUSE ou
STOP).
Chamamos de PLANO (em inglês, “SHOT”) tudo que é mostrado para o espectador de
forma contínua, isto é, como uma sucessão de imagens em movimento sem interrupção
de qualquer tipo.
* Cada vez que um plano é repetido, dizemos que trata-se de uma nova tomada. Isso
fica registrado na claquete da seguinte forma: Plano 27 / Tomada 1; Plano 27 / Tomada
2; Plano 27 / Tomada 3…; e as repetições acontecem até que o plano esteja
corretamente filmado (na opinião do diretor).
Chamamos de CENA (em inglês, “SCENE”), um conjunto de planos que
acontecem no mesmo lugar e no mesmo momento.
Chamamos de FILME um espetáculo de imagens em movimento (mais
tarde acompanhadas por som), formado por uma ou mais cenas, que tem
começo, meio e fim, e “mostra” alguma coisa acontecendo numa sucessão
temporal.
Faltava um elemento essencial para a linguagem cinematográfica
começar a se desenvolver, e esse elemento chama-se CORTE. Imagine
que você, lá em 1895, teve uma ideia: juntar o filme sobre a saída da
fábrica com o filme sobre a chegada do trem na estação. Para isso, você
imagina que um operário em particular sai da fábrica e vai receber um
amigo que está chegando no trem. Agora o esquema TOMADA = PLANO
= CENA = FILME não pode mais ser usado.
Segundo núcleo cinema
PRODUÇÃO –
é a turma encarregada de tocar todos os processos
que transformarão o roteiro em filme. De certa
forma, a direção também faz parte da produção, mas
vamos mantê-la separada, por razões que logo
ficarão claras. Produzir um filme envolve:
– analisar o roteiro, pensando nos recursos necessários para filmar cada
cena;
– reunir esses recursos. No cinema profissional, é juntar dinheiro suficiente
para cobrir um orçamento elaborado depois da análise do roteiro. No seu
primeiro filme, talvez o dinheiro possa ser substituído por outras coisas.
Mas, se você continuar produzindo, essa moleza vai acabar;
– formar a equipe e o elenco (atores e atrizes), pagando cachês ou
oferecendo algum tipo de benefício alternativo;
– usar os recursos sabiamente, de modo que o filme seja concluído num
prazo razoável;
– supervisionar todas as etapas de realização, o que inclui verificar se cada
membro da equipe está desempenhando sua função corretamente;
– quando o filme estiver pronto, trabalhar para que ele seja visto pelo maior
número possível de pessoas.
Terceiro núcleo cinema
DIREÇÃO – é a turma encarregada de tornar o filme bom. Ou ótimo. Ou
excepcional. Uma obra de arte! Mas se o seu primeiro filme ficar
simplesmente “bom” pode marcar a festa e convidar todo mundo. Eu pago
a cerveja (ou o suco de laranja). A produção cria a possibilidade do filme
existir. A direção tem a tarefa de fazer aquela mágica, aquele encantamento
de que já falamos antes, de modo que o filme provoque risos, ou lágrimas,
ou que pelo menos seja acompanhado com interesse até o fim. Sem
direção, um filme não tem alma, é só um corpo que anda sem razão, um
morto-vivo idiota que merece um tiro de misericórdia.
A turma e a importância do trabalho coletivo
No seu primeiro filme possivelmente ninguém será profissional. Toda a
turma será muito jovem e amadora. Seu primeiro desafio será chamar
essa turma de equipe, depois que houver uma divisão de funções e
responsabilidades. De qualquer maneira, ninguém vai trabalhar por
dinheiro, e sim pelo prazer de fazer cinema. Talvez alguns já pensem em
se profissionalizar, e, se o seu primeiro filme ficar bom, mais tarde vai ser
bacana incluí-lo no currículo. É um lucro indireto bem interessante. De
qualquer modo, é importante que todos – os que estão simplesmente
brincando de fazer cinema e os que pretendem seguir carreira –
trabalhem pelo sucesso do filme.
Todos os filmes, independentemente do gênero ou nível de
produção, precisam:
• (a) ter uma história previamente escolhida e formatada para
virar um filme, o que no cinema chamamos de roteiro;
• (b) trabalhar duro em função das dificuldades de contar essa
história com imagens e sons, ou seja, desenvolver um esquema
organizado de produção, que envolve muitas pessoas e
processos;
• (c) escolher, entre as milhares de possibilidade narrativas e
estéticas, quais são as mais adequadas para cada momento do
filme, ou seja, ter uma direção.
• (d) uma equipe dedicada que consiga superar as adversidades
que surgirem ao longo da produção.

Imagine que você, lá em 1895, teve uma ideia: juntar o filme sobre a saída da fábrica com o filme sobre a chegada do trem na estação. Para isso, você imagina que um operário em particular sai da fábrica e vai receber um amigo que está chegando no trem. Agora o esquema TOMADA = PLANO = CENA = FILME não pode mais ser usado.

    Segundo núcleo cinema PRODUÇÃO– é a turma encarregada de tocar todos os processos que transformarão o roteiro em filme. De certa forma, a direção também faz parte da produção, mas vamos mantê-la separada, por razões que logo ficarão claras. Produzir um filme envolve:

    – analisar oroteiro, pensando nos recursos necessários para filmar cada cena; – reunir esses recursos. No cinema profissional, é juntar dinheiro suficiente para cobrir um orçamento elaborado depois da análise do roteiro. No seu primeiro filme, talvez o dinheiro possa ser substituído por outras coisas. Mas, se você continuar produzindo, essa moleza vai acabar; – formar a equipe e o elenco (atores e atrizes), pagando cachês ou oferecendo algum tipo de benefício alternativo; – usar os recursos sabiamente, de modo que o filme seja concluído num prazo razoável; – supervisionar todas as etapas de realização, o que inclui verificar se cada membro da equipe está desempenhando sua função corretamente; – quando o filme estiver pronto, trabalhar para que ele seja visto pelo maior número possível de pessoas.

    Terceiro núcleo cinema DIREÇÃO– é a turma encarregada de tornar o filme bom. Ou ótimo. Ou excepcional. Uma obra de arte! Mas se o seu primeiro filme ficar simplesmente “bom” pode marcar a festa e convidar todo mundo. Eu pago a cerveja (ou o suco de laranja). A produção cria a possibilidade do filme existir. A direção tem a tarefa de fazer aquela mágica, aquele encantamento de que já falamos antes, de modo que o filme provoque risos, ou lágrimas, ou que pelo menos seja acompanhado com interesse até o fim. Sem direção, um filme não tem alma, é só um corpo que anda sem razão, um morto-vivo idiota que merece um tiro de misericórdia.

    A turma ea importância do trabalho coletivo No seu primeiro filme possivelmente ninguém será profissional. Toda a turma será muito jovem e amadora. Seu primeiro desafio será chamar essa turma de equipe, depois que houver uma divisão de funções e responsabilidades. De qualquer maneira, ninguém vai trabalhar por dinheiro, e sim pelo prazer de fazer cinema. Talvez alguns já pensem em se profissionalizar, e, se o seu primeiro filme ficar bom, mais tarde vai ser bacana incluí-lo no currículo. É um lucro indireto bem interessante. De qualquer modo, é importante que todos – os que estão simplesmente brincando de fazer cinema e os que pretendem seguir carreira – trabalhem pelo sucesso do filme.
