
In an age where information is being considered as the blood
of this century
Human area network is basically an interconnection of
information technology devices within the range of an
individual.

This concept of intra body communication was first proposed by IBM

4. HISTORY
It has two limitations:


Limited operating range
Top commutation speed was only 40 bits/s
These limitations were overcome by NTT –Nippon Telegraph
and Telephone corporation a Japanese company
by using photonic electric field sensors and finally 2005
they came up with PCMCIA card sized prototype RED TACTON
It achieved duplex operation over the human body with an
communication speed of 10 mbps

RED TACTON new Human Area
Networking technology that uses
the surface of the human body as a
safe, high speed network
transmission path, uses the minute
electric field emitted on the surface
of the human body

TACTON –“Touch –Act –On”
meaning “action triggered by
touching”

RED – It is an auspicious

Principle:
The basic principle is the creation of minute electro static fields
that modulated by a code giver to carry digital information are
capacitively transmitted to human skin as a conductor and then to
be transmitted by physical contact
