This session will describe how CICS TS v5.1 can quickly and simply support the creation of modern Mobile Ready interfaces to existing applications. The session will introduce the key technologies including the use of Liberty technology in CICS TS. We will work through a simple scenario to demonstrate the key points. The session will cover the core supporting technologies include in CICS TS v5.1 as well as the Dynamic Scripting Feature Pack and content included in the CICS TS v5.2 Open Beta.
Belgium is a federal parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy located in Western Europe. It has a population of around 11 million people and has three official languages - Dutch, French, and German. The population is divided along linguistic lines, with Dutch-speaking Flemings in the north and French-speaking Walloons in the south. Belgium has a bicameral parliament and is a founding member of the European Union. Philippe is the current King of Belgium, a largely ceremonial role.

ScalaJS: Yet another what… ?
It’s tempting to write your whole web application in one and only programming language, especially when this is yours language-of-choice. That’s the reason why Node.js got so much traction in the last years - JavaScript is the part of the web stack which will stay there, whether we like it or not. In the world of languages compiled/transpiled to it, there is ScalaJS that is trying to keep its head above water and gain some popularity. Let’s take a look and try to evaluate if it’s worth our time to try it.
2844 CICS Policy Based Management – There’s a new sheriff in townnick_garrod
InterConnect 2015 Session 2844 CICS Policy Based Management – There’s a new sheriff in town. “My systems work perfectly, it’s the applications that are the problem!” If you have ever said (or thought) that, then this session is for you. Outages do not have to be ‘an application issue’ anymore. In CICS TS V5, new policy based capabilities allow you to set thresholds on the resources that your applications are allowed to consume. Rouge applications can be detected through various task threshold policies such as excessive file or database access, repetitive program links, or abnormal storage requests. And once detected, you have the ability to notify, to react, or to ABEND. There’s a new sheriff in town, and it’s you. Come to this session to learn how to exercise your new power wisely.

CICS TS V5.1 offers a fast and lightweight Java web container built on WebSphere Application Server Liberty technology. This web container provides developers with Java Servlet and JSP capabilities and fast local access to existing CICS applications and data. A wide range of Java development tools can be used to develop web applications for the Liberty container running within the CICS JVM server environment.
The document provides an overview of enhancements in CICS Transaction Server V5.1 focused on improved scalability. Key areas addressed include greater use of 64-bit storage to relieve virtual storage constraints, improved threadsafe support to reduce TCB switching and increase workload capacity, and doubling the maximum task limit. Monitoring and statistics were also enhanced to provide deeper insight into performance and capacity to help optimize hardware and software configurations.
This document discusses techniques for improving performance in frontend frameworks like Angular and React, including managing state, change detection, virtual DOM, immutable data structures, and RxJS. It provides examples of how frameworks abstract complexity but also describes how techniques like monomorphism and zone patching can achieve major performance gains through optimizations like generating specialized change detection code and intercepting asynchronous callbacks. The document emphasizes that frameworks plus abstraction equals developer happiness but performance requires understanding how abstractions work and applying techniques like immutable data to prevent unnecessary re-renders.
Cics ts v4 and v5 recap, and the new cics ts v5.3 open beta (1)nick_garrod
CICS TS V5.3 open beta is available and includes enhancements to support for Java and the WebSphere Liberty Profile, performance optimizations, enhanced metrics, and additional security features. It also includes new cloud and DevOps support to automate CICS deployments. Prior versions of CICS TS included features for service agility, operational efficiency, and cloud enablement. Statements by IBM regarding future products and plans are subject to change without notice.
CICS policy-based management allows administrators to define thresholds on resource usage for applications. If an application exceeds a threshold, such as too many database requests, file accesses, or storage usage, CICS can automatically take action like emitting a notification, triggering an event, or aborting the task. Policies are defined through XML documents and can be applied at the region, platform, application, or operation level. This new capability gives administrators control and helps detect and address rogue or runaway applications causing outages or issues.
16370 cics project opening and project update fnick_garrod
This document provides an overview and agenda for the CICS Project Opening and Project Update session. It includes:
- An introduction from Dave Jeffries, the CICS Director, and Andy Bates, the CICS TS Product Manager.
- A forecast of key topics to be covered at the SHARE conference related to CICS, including Cloud & DevOps, Java & Liberty, Mobile & APIs, Cost Optimization, and Generation z & Core Skills.
- An outline of upcoming releases, betas, and skills certifications for CICS Transaction Server.
The Natural Tummy Tuck: 5 Lingerie Tips To Flatten A Big TummySensual Occasions
Control panties or high-waist underwear can hold the stomach in and help flatten it. Clingy fabrics like Lycra or leather may accentuate curves instead of concealing them. Wearing a bodysuit can create the illusion of curves on the waist and slimmer thighs. Pairing a push-up bra with high-waist underwear can draw attention away from the stomach if someone has a large bust. Baby doll nighties or negligees that show off the legs while covering the stomach can boost confidence for those proud of their legs.
S102 cics the future is closer abridgednick_garrod
GSE Nordic 2015 - Future of CICS is closer than you think. There is a lot going on behind that mysterious curtain. Recently, the CICS development organization has adopted a new practice called ‘IBM Design Thinking’, which will forever change the way CICS products are developed. The core principle of this approach is to make sure we get as much feedback as possible on our future ideas. This is a quite unique opportunity to participate in a discussion regarding the future of IBM CICS technology. We will be sharing our views. And we will be hoping for lots for interactive feedback. Please don’t be shy!
The document discusses Reactive Streams, a new standard for asynchronous stream processing across JVM platforms and beyond. It introduces key concepts like Publishers, Subscribers, and the Subscription contract. Reactive Streams provides interoperability across implementations like RxJava, Reactor, Akka Streams, and Vert.x through a common set of interfaces and protocols. The current state is that Reactive Streams version 1.0.0 RC-5 was released in April with compatibility kits and interfaces for JVM and JavaScript.
