Lobby groups could significantly influence the European Parliament's decisions if they worked more strategically with MEPs. EU regional policies have improved infrastructure and services in Limassol, Cyprus, but citizens must be aware of their rights, such as healthcare provisions. Europhiles in France support greater European integration for political and economic reasons. They believe that a united Europe with a larger population and economy than the US could become a more influential global partner. Major French political parties supporting europhilia and greater EU integration include the Democratic Movement, Greens, Federalist Party, Socialist Party, and UMP. Europhiles argue that strengthening Europe is important in the 21st century to ensure peace, economic development, and security, as well as preserving European identity and values in an increasingly globalized world.
European symbols like the euro currency, flag, and anthem are present in France but not widely known. The document discusses where European symbols can be seen in France, such as the flag in front of schools. Interviews with teachers and a student suggest that in general, French people don't have a strong knowledge of European symbols and what they represent, as they are not encountered regularly. However, Europe still influences French lives through symbols like the euro currency.
Euroscepticism in France is represented by both the extreme left and right. The document outlines several arguments made by eurosceptics in France, including that the EU weakens national sovereignty, is not democratic, and prioritizes capitalism over social policies. Prominent French eurosceptic political parties and figures are identified, such as the Front National led by Marine Le Pen and members of the Communist Party. However, most mainstream French politicians remain europhile.

Germany has a long history with European integration following its destruction in World War 2. Konrad Adenauer became chancellor in 1949 and envisioned a "united Europe". In 1950, the French foreign minister Robert Schuman proposed unifying the coal and steel industries, leading to the 1951 formation of the European Coal and Steel Community among six founding members. This evolved into the 1957 European Economic Community. Germany's membership in the EU helped prevent future wars, supported friendship among members, and provided checks and balances during economic crises. Public attitudes in Germany toward the EU are generally positive, though some policies are debated as being better handled at national or EU levels. The Greek crisis was extensively covered in German media.
The document provides background information about Poland's history and key figures. It discusses Poland's loss of independence in the 18th century and regain of independence after WWI. It then profiles important Polish historical figures like John Paul II, Lech Walesa, Jozef Pilsudski, Frederic Chopin, and Marie Curie. The document outlines Poland's transition to democracy in 1989 and process of joining the European Union from 1994 to 2004. It notes both benefits and concerns of EU membership for Poland.
Spain joined the European Union in 1985 after two failed attempts due to its dictatorship system. Since joining, Spain has received over 78 billion euros in economic support and seen increased jobs, development, and tourism. However, Spain still struggles with issues like unemployment, low education performance, and pollution. Today, 65% of Spaniards feel European due to successful integration and economic development with the EU.
Cyprus gained independence in 1960 and joined the European Union in 2004. While Cyprus is now part of the EU, it remains divided with border lines separating the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities. Cyprus' accession to the EU provides citizens with a new European identity and rights of free movement, but the political solution to reunify Cyprus must still comply with EU laws and treaties. Turkey also needs to fulfill its EU obligations to resolve differences with Cyprus in order to progress in its own negotiations to join the EU. Overall, while EU membership offers economic and security benefits, the national problem of division remains to be solved for reunification of the island under an integrated government.

3. Neste tema vamos falar do tema “Desporto”, onde

classificado) e bronze (terceiro classificado).

Harmonia, durou 130 dias e percorreu 137 000 km — a maior
O torneio
mais prestigiado do futebol é o Campeonato do Mundo FIFA.
6
Americano.
7
andebol.
nado associado a trabalho.
A regra
