Camp Wakeshma has something special about it and always has me wanting to stay longer. Since I was 12 years old,

A Dill Pickle by Katherine Mansfield represents the women's pursuit of independence through loneliness. Mansfield
captures real–life stories, not ones fabricated to appeal to the masses. This story takes place in a café, a couple meets
again after 6 years apart. Their meeting emphasizes the women (Vera's) cynical look on love and her sensitive
personality. The man exudes arrogance and has a way with words. The differences between the two characters highlight
the divergence of their love and the lack of certain personality traits of each character. This unveils one of many reasons
why their relationship would come to an end breaking both of their hearts. Vera doesn't talk much in the text, instead we
dive deep into her inner thoughts and that's where she expresses her true feelings of the past relationship and unravels
her teetering feelings for the man, each topic he brings up reminds her of an unpleasant memory of him from the past
but as he talks he turns those horrible memories into good ones, convincing Vera to fall back in love with him. "But she
was thinking how well she remembered that trick of his–the trick of interrupting her–and of how it used to exasperate

Subway was founded in 1965 by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. The duo opened their first sandwich shop when DeLuca
was only seventeen years old. DeLuca's childhood dream was to become a prominent doctor. Therefore, he needed to
find a way to pay for his medical career. On the other hand, Peter Buck was a family friend who offered DeLuca the
possibility to become business partners. Their first store was opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was called, "Pete's
Super Submarines." They sold over three hundred sandwiches on the opening day. The price range for each sandwich
was between forty–nine to sixty–nine cents. Although they struggled for couple of years they were optimistic. Their
goal at that time was to open over thirty stores in the next ten years. The pair wanted to create a success' image. Later,
Fred learned that good customer service, quality food and low prices were important to stay in business for a long time.
In 1968, the little submarine shop changed their name to the trademark "Subway." They made seven thousand dollars
only on that year. However, the duo was too ambitious to settle with that. It was in 1974, and after sixteen stores in
Wallingford, Connecticut that Subway grew into a franchise. In this way, becoming the first franchise in the United
States. The mindset of DeLuca and Buck was to allow the now chain brand, to expand countrywide. But at this point

My Family Holiday Essay
Charlotte McIntyre Today was going to be one most irritating day for my family and we didn't know it. We thought our
family holiday was going great there hadn't been any of the arguments that cause my mother to say "that it pack
everything we are going back home, i have had enough". Even if she had said that i would highly doubt that she would

My Day At School
On Thursday the fourth week of school, I woke up earlier than usual. I set my alarm to vibrate at 8:30 but I instead
woke up at 8. Not caring how exhausted, I was from staying up late the night before to complete an assignment,
regretting procrastinating, I decided to start my day early. Being prudent, I search the weather to figure out what to
wear. I prepared myself for the day, setting my clothes on the bed and placed my shoes out. I took my towel and shower
caddy with all my shower essentials out and hopped in the shower moments later. When I finished washing I put my
clothes on and put a ponytail in my hair. My class start at 9:30 am and I was ready at 9:10 am. Staying at Rosa
Alexander Hall I have to leave before 9:20 because Madison is a 10–minute walk.
Walking downstairs, greeting the RA that was at the front desk, I walked out the front door and into beautiful weather.
The sky was sapphire blue and the sun was shining so bright it might blind your eyes if you look directly at it. This is
the first good weather we had since the rain we have been having for these few days. Walking to class, just pass the
library, I see one of my friends and we decide to walk with each other because our class is in the same building.
Reaching the building my friend and us go our separate ways, her staying on the first floor and me heading upstairs.
My first class is English 101 with Professor Camp. We went over the vocabulary words and learned that we have a quiz
on Tuesday. Then we went over one of Maya Angulo's stories to have an idea of what our observation paper looks like.
Mr. Camp ended class around 11:15 so I just walked downstairs to my other class. I was so early that the class that uses
the classroom before us was still there.
My teacher entered class looking like she was trying to put her life together. Gathering the materials she will be needing

After reading the article "The Sandwich Generation: Who is Caring for you?" by Ruth Tarantine I have learned what the
"Sandwich Generation" is and how to assist individuals in this generation. The "Sandwich Generation" was originally
used to describe baby boomers that were women in their 30s and 40s who cared for their parents and their own children.
This term was coined by Dorothy Miller. As time passed, the term changed to include both male and females and the
age range is now 40 to 65 years old. Almost 50% of adults 40–50 years old care for a parent and child. Caring for a
parent and child can stress a caregiver. Adding a chronic disease to either parent or child can put additional stress on the
