This document summarizes a presentation on advanced applications of remote visualization. It describes a world premiere showing of a 4K feature film via HD videoconferencing between universities in Japan, the US, and Brazil in 2009. It then discusses technologies for streaming 4K, 3D, and HD video including required bandwidths. The presentation demonstrates a 4K visualization portal and a SAGE-enabled tiled display wall. It proposes next steps of live 4K streaming and concludes by noting the growth of internet video traffic in Brazil, which will increase 156-fold for internet TV between 2010 and 2015.
