2. Tux Paint is a free program that allows the user to
create pictures using a variety of drawing tools
and stamps.

random places on Tux Paint.

letters to make them appear hidden.

Students will need to be able to identify the letter of the week
by finding it on the keyboard and typing it onto their picture.
Students will also need to identify the letter of the week in their
partner’s picture. For the purpose of this activity, we will only
be focusing on lowercase letters. Once they are more familiar
with the keyboard and Tux Paint, we can learn how to make
capital l letters on the keyboard.

Students will be exploring the digital tool, Tux Paint, to create
pictures. With the help of an adult, students will type their
stories into Microsoft Word. These published stories will then be
shared with their classmates.
