Forecasting helps managers and businesses develop
meaningful plans and reduce uncertainty of events in

the future. Managers want to match supply with
demand; therefore, it is essential for them to forecast
how much space they need for supply to each demand.

  • 3. Operations management  deals with the design and management of products, processes, services and supply chains. It considers the acquisition, development, and utilization of resources that firms need to deliver the goods and services their clients want.
  • 4.  Forecasting helps managers and businesses develop meaningful plans and reduce uncertainty of events in the future. Managers want to match supply with demand; therefore, it is essential for them to forecast how much space they need for supply to each demand.
