Introduction
Aero dynamic turbines converts the kinetic energy of the
wind to mechanical energy.
A wind turbine obtains power input by converting the
force of the wind into a torque (turning force) acting on
the rotor blades.
The amount of energy which the wind transfers to the rotor
depends on the density of the air, the rotor area, and the
wind speed.
The output of the generator is connected to the load or
the power grid.
The design of the wind turbine is an integral part which
decide the efficiency.

In prior stage of the wind
turbine project has basic
requirement is to measure
the wind speed and the
velocity.
Testo is the German
equipment to measure
the wind and all other
parameters is use for any
of our wind project for
assurance of wind speed.
 PERMANENT MAGNET BRUSHLESS GENERATOR
Permanent magnet
generator is same as that of
shunt motor with the
difference that there is
permanent magnet instead
of stationary field winding for
producing the required
magnetic flux.
Since this is Brushless and
Commutator is absent it
requires practically no
maintenance.
The Life of this type of motor
is longer compared to others.
Project Components :
 BLADE
Blade design is made of
aluminum and epoxy
resin.
Above material are used
for our blades.
 Aero Dynamic blade
made of carbon fiber is
light weight. Has a razor
sharp edge which cut
through the wind and
makes it virtually silent.

Conclusion
We had done market survey on Vertical Axis
Wind Turbine(VAWT).
We justify that how to VAWT works and
produces electricity through block diagram.
Also, we understood how to design blade and
measurement of wind speed with use of
anemometer.

Introduction Aero dynamic turbines converts the kinetic energy of the wind to mechanical energy. A wind turbine obtains power input by converting the force of the wind into a torque (turning force) acting on the rotor blades. The amount of energy which the wind transfers to the rotor depends on the density of the air, the rotor area, and the wind speed. The output of the generator is connected to the load or the power grid. The design of the wind turbine is an integral part which decide the efficiency.

  • 5. Measurement of Wind Speed Velocity In prior stage of the wind turbine project has basic requirement is to measure the wind speed and the velocity. Testo is the German equipment to measure the wind and all other parameters is use for any of our wind project for assurance of wind speed.
  • 6.  PERMANENT MAGNET BRUSHLESS GENERATOR Permanent magnet generator is same as that of shunt motor with the difference that there is permanent magnet instead of stationary field winding for producing the required magnetic flux. Since this is Brushless and Commutator is absent it requires practically no maintenance. The Life of this type of motor is longer compared to others.   • 7.  BLADE Blade design is made of aluminum and epoxy resin. Above material are used for our blades.  Aero Dynamic blade made of carbon fiber is light weight. Has a razor sharp edge which cut through the wind and makes it virtually silent. Project Components :
  • 9. Conclusion We had done market survey on Vertical Axis Wind Turbine(VAWT). We justify that how to VAWT works and produces electricity through block diagram. Also, we understood how to design blade and measurement of wind speed with use of anemometer.
