INTEGRATED SYSTEM UPGRADE WORKS
Overview
AMSEC Australia Pty Ltd designed to the extent specified, supplied,
installed and provisioning for a future upgrade in partnership with the
St John of God Hospital.
The newly formed delivery team supplied preliminary design,
installation and commissioned recommendations a new Tecom
Challenger Security Management upgrade and March Networks
System across multiple site locations.
The systems were chosen because it was a scalable solution for the
financial security market, from individual small branches through to
high rise offices.
Challenger’s modular architecture provides superior flexibility and
reliability when it comes to designing a new system or adding to an
existing one.
Challenger’s access control functionality is distributed across multiple
devices for additional reliability.
Door interlocking, nested anti‐passback, dual custody, lift control, card
and PIN, time and attendance, disabled user access, multiple card
format support and macro logic functionality are just some of the
industry‐leading features incorporated into Challenger access
controllers.
Challenger’s unique integration of intrusion and access control allows
for superior functionality. Intrusion areas can be controlled using only
access cards while access control events can be communicated to
management software or central monitoring stations.
The site security was further enhanced with the March Networks high‐
performance network video recorders (NVRs), these flexible NVRs
deliver centralised video management and health monitoring, and
integrate seamlessly with March Networks IP cameras and encoders,
as well as third‐party devices.
With features including internal battery backup, redundant storage,
real‐time health monitoring, Shadow Archiving and an embedded
Linux operating system, it provide for unmatched durability.
