3. Noble Cause: The Mission GPA provides professional, personalized academic, athletic, and mentorship services to Sacramento high school students who normally would not have access to these resources.
4. Inequity: The Challenge The achievement gap continues to grow between high-income high school students and students at low-income high schools. 30. Reflections JohnathanBrisco: Today I learned about patience. It is an aspect of life. I also learned that I should wear legging because it was cold. I learned that you have to adjust your weight when you do routes that you have to make sharp turns or stops. I learned to look the same from the beginning to the end of a route. I learned to stare down a DB at the high school level. I had to put trust in my hands. I learned that my time management skills need to improve. I learned about a few negatives in my life that cause me to have poor communication skills and poor time management. I learned that I am coachable academically and on the field.
31. Reflections Keith Flowers: I learned what benevolent means. I also learned about a nice quote and it says, “When love fails, at least be cordial.” – Kurt Vonnegut. Today I also learned about how to understand people and to improve your own people skills. Today during the football portion I learned to stay low on my breaks when running my route.

BrentEstablish funding to make financially feasible for private parties
Engage parents inform them about the college admissions process
Hiram Johnson continue to host
Continue to build program with same target schools, repeat students, and word of mouth to grow applicant pool
Engage coaches from target schools
Fundraising students showed improvements across the board in awareness of college, how to do well in school, and confidence to perform on and off the field
To take GPA to the next level and establish a sustainable footing, we need support of the public system for grants.
All these students could come back next year again and continue to develop into tomorrow’s leaders.
