2.0 Best Practices Change Management Change management staff has to be cross functional Interoperability is important  The success of the implementation  Communication Strategy You have to have a Communication Specialist plugged in to the project from the start Budget Budget needs to be set prior to talking with vendors Let vendor and implementation costs run at about 50% Meets Needs Meeting the needs of your users is one of the most important things in a 2.0 project Has Executive support
User Adoption How do we ensure that our employees will properly adopt E2.0 technologies? Motivation is critical to success Make it matter to them The best adopters see themselves in their work and understand the value in adopting the tool Create incentives (Badges, Special Awards) Create an environment that values knowledge producers Make it relevant Make it useful, fill a need / build efficiencies If it’s not relevant to them, they won’t use it!

Implement with interoperabilityEnable cross functionality & open standards ,[object Object],Empowering your users to find like-minded individuals to enable them to cultivate collectively their knowledge Imagine a task force working on a budget.  E2.0 tools can be leveraged to have all the relevant experts (vertical and horizontal) working together
User Adoption Increase education, awareness and training Ensure you have a communication strategy Educate senior management They may not understand the true benefit of E2.0 technologies and sometimes perceive them as “toys”…   Educate them! Train your employees! Ensure you have a training program Ensure managers support training and the tool (they should lead by example) Invest in transformation and shifting perception  It can take timebut it’s worth the investment Taking your time with the implementation can significantly improve your chances for sustained adoption of E2.0 technologies

Train your employees! Ensure you have a training program Ensure managers support training and the tool (they should lead by example) Invest in transformation and shifting perception It can take timebut it’s worth the investment Taking your time with the implementation can significantly improve your chances for sustained adoption of E2.0 technologies
