2. When did it start?
• The Apartheid started in 1948, when the
National Party won the elections.
3. Some of the laws were:
• They didn’t have business in the places assigned for the
whites.
• They had a special public transport for blacks and other for
whites.
• It wasn’t permitted the access in the places assigned for
white population unless they had a ticket.
• The public buildings such as the Court or the post office
had different access for blacks and whites.
• The places assigned for the blacks not usually had
electricity or water.
• The hospitals for blacks were understaffed and the
equipment was poor for attending the demand.
• Higher education was prohibited for the blacks.
4. The population was classified in
three groups:
• The colored persons who were the mulattoes.
• The blacks.
• The Indians consisting in Indians and
Pakistanis.
5. Between 1975 and 1985…
