What is Weduc?
A safe and secure communication platform that connects
schools to parents and teachers to students through
messages, photographs, videos, assessments, best practices
and links.
A private school
environment
which replicates
the school's
structure and
hierarchy.
Each user has
access to the
content shared
with their classes.

Directors
System
Administrators
Coordinators
Teachers
Students

Parents
The different types of user profiles on Weduc
Diretor:
Directors have access to all information and manage all users in a school. It is also possible for each director to
assume that same role in more than one school at the same time, if they are responsible for a group or network
of schools. On their main page, they can communicate with all users connected to their schools.
Systems administrator:
Systems administrators have the same management and administrative privileges as Directors without being
identified as such. This profile is aimed at users in a school who will be responsible for managing the platform.
Coordinator:
This type of user is associated to a group of classes or department in a school and has access to all of its
information. On their main page, coordinators will be able to interact at the same time with all parents in their
classes.
Teacher:
Teachers can interact with the classes they are connected to. They are able to communicate with parents and to
create Digital Classrooms to interact with students. Students cannot see what teachers share with parents and
vice-versa.
Parents:
Parents have access to all information shared with the classes they are connected to.
Student:
Students have access to all content shared by their teachers in the Digital Classrooms they are connected to.
For all types of schools and for all ages.
On Weduc, you find all the tools you need to help your School and
Teachers communicate with Parents and Students. Weduc allows you to
organise and share content with significant savings in time, resources
and communications.
Your school on Weduc
How to create your School on Weduc:
1. Go to (www.weduc.com) and create
an account with a 'School Director'
profile. If your school is an Activities
School, select the corresponding
profile.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail
with a link to activate your account.
2. Access your personal information,
complete your registration and check
if your School is already registered on
Weduc. If not, you can create a profile
by selecting 'School not listed?'.
How to create your School on Weduc:
3. To create a School profile, fill in the
required information, provide the
name and contact of a Director or
select the option 'I am a member of
the school directorship', if that is the
case.

4. Done! Weduc will validate all
information provided. After it has
been validated, your school profile will
be activated and the Director can
then start inviting other users.
Some features on Weduc will be unavailable until the School's profile is validated by our
services.
While the validation process takes place, you can start building your network by sending
connection requests to other schools you are connected to in real life as a Director, Teacher or
Parent. With a single password, you will be able to access all your different profiles on Weduc.
You can expand your network at any time and add a new profile to your account by going to
'Weduc Network' (on the upper menu bar) and selecting 'My network'.
How to organize your school or
group of schools on Weduc
1. Once your school profile is validated,
you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The
Director or System Administrator has total
control over the school profile on Weduc.
Under one of those profiles, you can click
on the school's logo and complete its
profile information by selecting 'Edit
school profile' (See here how to delegate that
task to a System Administrator).

2. You can now create the school
structure by selecting 'Managing School
Structure'. Click on 'Grades and Classes'
and then on 'Create'. Once the School
Year is set, you can enter the class names
and save those changes by clicking on
'Save'.
3. You can now invite Teachers,
Coordinators and Parents on the
'Managing Users' menu. Enter their
e-mail addresses and choose the type of
profile these users will have and the
classes they will be connected to on the
platform. An activation link will be sent to
their e-mails and, once it is activated,
they will be connected to your School. As
an alternative, these invitations can be
printed as a PDF file.
4. To accept or decline connection
requests to your School, go to 'Managing
Users', 'Manage Accesses' and finally
'Access Requests'.
5. You can connect other Classes to
Teachers and Students (or change those
connections) at any moment by going to
'Managing Users' and clicking then on
'Manage Directors and Teachers' or
'Manage Classes'.
6. If you want make possible for Teachers
to invite other Teachers or Parents to your
School, go to 'Managing School', 'Manage
permissions' and change the settings for
the users of your choice.
7. The tasks above mentioned can be
delegated to other users. To do so, go to
'Managing Users' and send an invitation
by e-mail to the users of your choice,
adding them as Systems Administrators.
Systems Administrators have the same
privileges as School Directors on
managing the platform.

These permissions can be created or
revoked at any moment by going to
'Managing Users' and 'Manage Directors
and Teachers'.
Tools made available by Weduc
to your school
Central box to communicate with the School
Directors can easily share information, documents and
images with their schools through the sharing box on
their main pages. Users in each school can interact
with that content by clicking on 'Like' or by writing
comments. Teachers can use this box to share content
with the classes they are connected to.
User multiprofile
Each user in a School can navigate on Weduc with
their different profiles. Directors can be connected to
one or more Schools while being a Teacher or Parent
at the same time. All profiles are registered under a
single user and password.
Sending private messages
On Weduc, you can send private messages to Parents,
Students and Teachers. Messages can be exchanged
between users connected to the same the class and it
is not necessary to provide the recipient's e-mail
address. Directors are able to send messages to all
users connected to the school.

Special messages
Users can send Special Messages (Authorisation
requests, notifications or invitations) and check the
replies as soon as they are sent. They can also
generate and print these replies as a list.
When Parents receive a Special Message, they are able
to reply automatically by choosing one of the options
presented.
Assessments
Directors have access to all assessments created by
Teachers. Each Teacher is able to share information
with Parents on different criteria (eating, assiduity,
grades, behaviour or homework) and can also award
Students on their accomplishments.
Each assessment is private and can only be seen by
the student's parent. Schools can also set their own
criteria and assessment scales.

Integrated Calendar
On Weduc, each user's Calendar includes all events
associated to the Schools, Classes and Groups they
are connected to. Once an event is created, the
calendar of all those involved will be updated
accordingly.
Digital Library
All users have a Digital Library where files and links can
be stored and organised. Users are able to share that
content with others by selecting who it will be made
available to.
Best practices and Tutorials can also be created and
shared with other users.

Best practices and Tutorials
Schools and Teachers can share with other users on
Weduc their Best Practices and Tutorials on how to
develop activities and accomplish tasks.
Usage statistics
A director can see detailed statistics on the content
shared by each teacher as well as on the visits to the
school's page, allowing them to easily assess the
impact of Weduc on the practices taking place at the
institution.

School Programme
Teachers can list the topics taught in class and mark
the progress made on each subject. School Directors
can then track the progress made by each class.
Creating groups
It is possible to create groups on Weduc, where users
can come together to communicate, to share
documents and images and to participate in
discussion boards. Groups can be invitation-only (e.g. a
groups of teachers from a group of schools) or can be
open to all users on Weduc.

The School's public profile
A School's public profile is the place where users can
get information on the institution, such as basic details,
contacts, geo-reference and image gallery. Also
included is an editing tool (micro blog) for text and
images, and users can rate the school or write
comments. The school director can also choose to
include the professional profile of each Teacher and
Director.
Quizzes and assignments
It is easy for teachers to create and submit quizzes
and assignments to their students. Answers can be
submitted online or handed to teachers in class.
Teachers can also set their quizzes to be automatically
corrected and assessed.

Weduc mobile
All users can access Weduc on their tablets or
smartphones with our mobile application to IOS and
Android, or by the mobile browser version, which is
compatible with different operating systems and is
available at m.weduc.com.
