Pop music – it is a trendy song that you would expect to hear on the radio and the album cover
and poster feature a young, fashionable artist with simple bold font. Music that looks like anybody
should listen to.
15-50 – Males & Females
The song is a pop song and therefore aimed at a wide target audience and is likely to be enjoyed
at any age and gender. The video features an attractive male and female so both audiences can
benefit, the song is relatively emotional for stereotypical females to enjoy and up-beat and current
for everybody to like. The poster looks as if it would be found in a magazine, with bold
‘fashionable’ font and the digipack on YouTube or television, again selling to a wide variety.

Could have been ‘doing’ other things such as walks on the beach or clips of a coffee date for
example to make it more realistic.

I think the video, digipack and advert are for pop music. The artist looks to be a solo
artist (from the poster and digipack) and the simplicity if the photos, fonts and texts look
to be promoting general pop music. (For example, if there were drums and lots of dark
colours with ‘aggressive’ fonts it would look like rock music).
12-40
Girls of all ages will like the video as the man is topless in the video whilst performing other
intimate actions, he as attractive as well. Guys will like it because the artist is portrayed as cool,
who likes girls and as well produces good, up-beat music. The younger ages (12-16) are more
likely to be girls who into music sung by young, attractive men and the rest of the ages are equally
targeted at any gender as pop music is created to appeal to a wide audience.
Good cinematography – well focussed and filmed especially when walking through the underpass
Also well framed with the main artist and other ‘activities’ clearly framed
Lip syncing combined with facial expressions and movements is very good
Costumes are stereotypical of males of that age and relate to the target audience
Nice colour (in the bedroom) warm feeling

Pop Music – This is because the video features a young artist who dresses fashionably and
sings/lip syncs about love and relationships. The poster/advert and digipack work together with
modern fonts, colours, and images of the artist to promote their identity and have the potential to
appeal to anybody, therefore making it ‘popular’.

As it is pop music it is pretty much aimed at anybody,all ages and both genders.It can be aimed at teenage
girls who are stereotypically into pop music especially when sung by a young male and also aimed at middle
aged women who are also influenced by the genre they are subjected to most like on the radio. Young adult
males and middle aged men are also part of the target audience if they are into pop music and appreciate
good singers/songssuch as this one.The advert and digipack also highlight these views with the album
cover featuring the face of the artist to mainly attract females and the advert in generally advertising to both
men and women.
Well edited – good timing of the cuts

Pop Genre – The artist looks young, trendy and fashionable and stereotypically you would expect
an artist of that style to be producing pop music. The advert is one that is expected to see in a
music magazine and the digipack looks like a stereotypical album cover. The fact that they are
both so stereotypical and ‘normal’ to a degree, that they are meant to be recognised by anybody
and therefore more likely to appeal to anybody hence my decision of the pop genre.
15-50 – Both males and females
Younger girls will be the target audience due to the artists appearance and his current style as
well as being a young male singing love songs. The older ages of women will not necessarily be
attracted to the appearance of the artist but more so the style and type of music that is common
and generally liked by most listeners. Males of all ages will be part of the target audience due its
up-beat rhythm that is played at parties and on the radio. The poster is aimed at this target
audience too, whereas the digipack may be aiming more towards the female side with a close up
of the artist face and appearance for the use of attraction.
