TRIATHLON
What is Triathlon ?
Triathlon is a mixed phase
championship including 3 different
types of sports which are swiming +
cycling + running.
It is a perfect sport to test
endurance for the sport junkies.
Triathlon as a sport is belived to be
originated in france in 1920 -1930
formerly know as "Les trois
sports".
Officially the first of its kind
triathlon was held at Mission Bay,
San Diego, California on September
25, 1974.
What are the types of Triathlon?
Types Swim Cycle Run
Sprint 750 meter 12 mile 3.1 mile
Standard 0.93 mile 25 mile 6.2 mile
Long Course 1.2 mile 56 mile 13.1 mile (halfmarathon)
Ironman 2.4 mile 112 mile 26.2 mile (full marathon)
Facts
Triathlon for the first time was officially launched as an olympic
sport in 2000 at Sydney Games.
It included 1,500 m Swim + 24.9 mile Bike + 6.2 mile Run.
Keypoints to remember while traning.
If you are a newbie then first consult some physician and then start
traning by taking small steps.Don't practice till fatigue levels are reached.
Give you body some time to adjust and get comfortable to the practice
and exercise and once comfort level is achieved you can increase the
traning periods and quantity.
You can even consult for professional triathlon traning coach.
To master the sport you need high level of stamina, don't worry stamina
increases with time and by proper traning.
Proper/correct diet will add to your hardwork and prove to be very beneficial
for your stamina.
Rigourous traning may add to unwanted injury,for that you need properly
planned traning regime with correct hours of practice.
Understand your body and accordingly workout youe schedule.
