Chetan Bhagat is a most famous
author, columnist, screenwriter, and speaker.
He is a born in New Delhi on 22ad April 1974.
He is a Mechanical Engineer but his passion
about writing. He quit his international
investment banking career in the year 2009 to
devote his entire time to writing.

suggests,about a revolution. It’s the story of a love triangle,
set in the time of engineering entrance exams in Varanasi.

7. Summary of the novel
• Revolution 2020:Love,Corruption,Ambition is a novel by Chetan
Bhagat. its story is concerned with a love triangle, corruption and a
journey of self-discovery.
• The author stated that the novel is based on the “rampant
corruption” apparent in the Indian education system, with the choice
of Varanasi as a setting emerging through ‘a special connection to the
city’ following his visit.
• Revolution 2020 is about three childhood friend: Gopal, Raghav, and
Aarti . Gopal and Aarti are close growing up, and while she just sees
him as a friend, he falls in love with her. But Raghav is her love
interest.

8. • Ironically, this book again tries to prove the fact that a guy and girl
can never be good friends and will eventually at some point become
lovers !But, it is well justified , atleast in this book.
• Gopal is contacted by a politician Who wishes to build an
engineering collage on the highly valuable land that Gopal’s family
owns Gopal agrees to the deal, and joins the system of corruption in
India in order to build the collage with the politician’s black money.
• Raghav starts his own newspaper , Revolution 2020 , to change the
world and expose the corrupt system in India.

9. • After listening to Gopal ‘s story ,the author confirms that he is indeed
a good man.
But eventually, we all are what we are. The goodness never dies. That’s
what I felt about the character of Gopal. He did a few wrong things but
he was an amazing person at heart! He lets his love go only because he
knows he is not the best for her! I was a bit upset with the ending but I
guess that’s the best possible.

11. This Story Gives us Three Thoughts
Sometimes our parents push us too hard for a career for which we
are not meant and that lowers our self-esteem as we start seeing
ourselves as loser.
We all have some innocence inside us no matter how bitter we get in
life.
Our sub-conscience know, we are doing something wrong.
