Start with realia: in this case ‘Shopping list’
Discussion – feedback : continue the shopping list, check in
the group, speak about most memorable birthday.
Skin reading - gist question: in this case ‘Is the man happy?’
( no talking, no writing, no dictionaries) Text for students
Second reading – scan for the facts. Group students in 3
and ask what they remember. Text for teachers
Scan for unknown words / students underline the words,
check how many they are/
Identify the parts of speech
