Many historical and cultural sites have been demolished due to
reckless urban development projects. There have been many attempts to
reconstruct damaged historical and cultural sites like Pimatgol,
Cheonggyecheon, and the Sewoon shopping district in South Korea using
digital technology, to revive their old glory. AR Teleport is a mobile-
augmented-reality application for reconstructing such areas for mobile
phones. The users can travel to the past from the present sites via AR
Teleport, and can attempt rich movement-based interactions like jumping,
blowing a breath, wiping with a finger, and touching buttons on a phone. In
this study, how these rich interactions affect the interests and awareness
level of the users was looked into. AR Teleport will open a new path of
digital reconstruction for smart phones via rich interactions.
 L. Yu, S. K. Ong, A. Y. C. Nee “A tracking solution for mobile
augmented reality based on sensor-aided marker-less tracking
and panoramic mapping” , Multimedia Tools and Applications
March 2016, Volume 75, Issue 6, pp 3199–3220 .The basic idea
of augmented reality is to overlay images, graphics, and audio
and other intelligence enhancements over a real environment in
real time. The system is to grow the user’s idea of and
interaction with the real world by augmenting the real world with
3D virtual objects that appear to exist in the same space as the
real environment. [1] Various technologies like virtual reality,
augmented reality, sixth sense technology, computer graphics
and different sensors work together, to create a world where
virtual objects are superimposed upon the real life environment.
AR or virtual reality (VR) technologies have grabbed the eyes of
researchers for quite some time now. AR and virtual reality are
often confused with one another, where as in reality, they
overlap each other and somewhere work together.
 Most products are tangible and require, by nature, that one hold
them, move them, and operate their functional parts. Mobile phones
are certainly among the tangible products that we can interact with
tangibly. In these authors’ opinion, however, this is not the core of
movement-based interaction, especially in the area of digital
products. It is believed that the essence of movement-based
interaction lies in the meaning and richness of the movement
 Clearly like software, electronic consumer products are tangible to
start with. What is new is not so much the tangibility of the
interaction as the richness of the interaction
 All the location data of the places that were picked for
reconstruction, including their latitudes and longitudes, were
collected from Google maps, based on their addresses.
 Teleportation is a type of locomotion that allows the player to enter into a
VR environment from AR world. We can have a virtual entrance in a real
world and going into it the user will reach a VR world of Experience with
minimal discomfort. With teleportation, the player points the entrance at a
location they'd like to move to, and then initiates the teleportation action;
they are transitioned to that location via a rapid animation tuned to
maintain player comfort.
 AR Teleport research was thus begun to determine if better effects can be
obtained if more movement-based interactions will be provided to the
users. The purpose of the production principles of AR Teleport is to
produce in the users a high sense of exaltation
 Augmented reality is a system that creates a view
of a real scene but with computer constructed
virtual models in the view so that when the user
of the system moves or try to touch the virtual
object, the object would appear at the specific
location as if it has always been there.
Augmented reality potential is limitless and the
end goal of it is to make such a system that the
user will not be able to distinguish between the
computer constructed virtual objects from the
real objects.
 This process controls the input devices like keyboard
, joystick , 3D position trackers (glove , wand , body
suit) , voice recognition system etc. Some glove sys-
tems can also add gesture recognition. The
objective is to get the coordinated data from the
input devices to the rest of the system.
 Visual Rendering is related to the computer graphics
& animations. This process is also referred to as
render-ing pipeline process. It consists of a series
of sub processes that are involved to generate each
frame. It begins with information of the world , the
objects , lighting & camera (eye) location in the world
space. The objects get their geometries
transformed into the eye coordinate system. Then,
the algorithms & actual pixel rendering is done
Augmented Reality is most popularly used in
engineering and designing process. It gives
better understanding of the design and help to
facilitate changes wherever necessary. It helps
to reduce the time and cost factor. Examples
are building construction, car designing etc. The
entertainment industry is one of the most
enthusiastic advocates of AUGMENTED reality,
most noticeably in games and virtual worlds.
An example includes virtual museum, gaming ,
virtual theme parks , inter-active exhibitions etc
The following steps take place in the detection
of a code marker
 1. Extract Regions of Interest
 2. Segmentation
 3. Detection and Identification
 4. Global search for visual code markers
 5. The mapping between image coordinate
with code marker coordinates
