terms of membership count .
• In 1917, there were troops
organized by American Army and
Navy families in various parts of

• GSP was presented the Walter
Donald Ross Trophy in 1965 for
its outstanding service project
rendered to the children of
evacuees who are victim of the
eruption of Taal Volcano.

9. • It was formed to encourage the Scouting movement throughout
the world to promote unity and understanding of its purpose and
principle.
• All Scouts in the world belong to the WOSM. Worldwide there are
over 50 million members.
• Three main bodies make up the WOSM:
• The World Scout Conference
• The World Scout Committee
• The World Scout Bureau.

10. • Was participated by Ten Million Girls and young women in 145
countries.
• WAGGGS is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to the
development of girls and young women around the world.
• The World Association of Girl-Guides and Girl Scouts has offices in five
regional divisions:
• WAGGGS-Europe Region
• WAGGGS-Arab Region
• WAGGGS-Africa Region
• WAGGGS-Asia Pacific Region (Philippines belong this Region)
• WAGGGS-Western Hemisphere Region

11. The World Pin
- The plumes of the fleur-de-lis symbolize for Service to Others,
Duty to God, and Obedience to the Scout Law. These three
principles form the Scout Promise which is made by new Scouts
as they join the movement.
- The two five-pointed stars symbolize knowledge and truth.
- Bond was also added tying the three plumes together to
symbolize the family of Scouting
- Three leaves represent the three duties and the three parts of
the promise.
- The two five point-stars stand for the promise and the law.
- The vein in the centre represents the compass needle
showing the right way.
- The base stands for the flame of the love of humanity.
- Color blue and gold represent the sun shining over all children
in the world.
