Este documento resume o informativo semestral de 2014 sobre atendimento escolar hospitalar no Brasil. Ele destaca o encontro nacional sobre o tema, a importância de garantir o direito à educação das crianças doentes e as parcerias internacionais para promover este direito.

Editorial
A realização do 8º ENCONTRO NACIONAL sobre ATENDIMENTO ESCOLAR HOSPITALAR
de 26 até 28 de maio se deu no espaço físico da UNIFESP e foi um grande feito. Mesmo que o evento
tenha ocorrido concomitantemente com dois outros, a programação contemplou majoritariamente
aqueles envolvidos ou interessados no atendimento escolar hospitalar.
Como desdobramento do encontro foi pertinente a constituição de uma comissão para discutir
aspectos teórico-metodológicos do atendimento escolar da criança doente. A mesma também visa as
questões de logística para os próximos encontros. É importante fazer com que tenhamos uma maior
participação dos professores das crianças doentes nos encontros. Também deve fazer
encaminhamentos concretos aos gestores educacionais nas esferas municipal, estadual e federal para
que cumpram o que está posto constitucionalmente sobre um serviço tão importante como esse.
A REDLACEH, como representante latinoamericana e caribenha do direito de educação da
criança ou jovem doente tem avançado junto ao Parlamento Latinoamericano e a UNESCO com
proposições relevantes para que esse direito seja respeitado e a criança doente participe das
atividades escolares. Seria interessante que mais brasileiros se filiassem a REDLACEH, reforçando-a
como entidade e contando com ela para ajudar-nos a dialogar com os representantes do governo
brasileiro.
Para aqueles que gostam de futebol, podemos dizer que, apesar de todos os problemas, o Brasil
está fazendo a melhor COPA de todas. E assim, damos as boas vindas a todos que tem seus países
representados na competição desejando um evento de paz e muito sucesso aos times.
The 8th National Meeting of Hospital Education that took place in São Paulo from May 26th to 28th this year was a great event. Although it
happened together with two other events, the majority of its program was very much related to the professional who work or have interest in the
area of teaching children in hospital.
It is very important that the definition of a commission to discuss theoretic and methodological aspects of the education of sick children
and the necessary logistic for the following editions of this event may also be able to formulate strategies so that more hospital teachers may
participate on such meetings. The commission must be able to propose to the local government ways that the right to education for sick children
may be a reality.
The REDLACEH, as the Latin American and Caribean representative of the right to education of sick children and youngsters has got
advancements on the Latin American Parliament and UNESCO. The propositions presented by REDLACEH were taken as necessary and
important by these institutions. It was going to be very interesting if more Brazilians could join the REDLACEH, reinforcing it as an institution and
counting with it to help us to dialogue with the Brazilian official representatives.
To the ones that enjoy football matches, we can say that, despite all sort of problems experienced, Brazil is doing the best CUP ever
done. This way, we welcome all the ones who have their countries represented on this competition, wishing a peaceful event and good luck to all
football teams.

procedimentos exigidos pela UNESCO de assinatura de documentos e acordos por parte dos
representantes das instituições coordenadoras, ou seja: REDLACEH (Pia) e Universidade de Barcelona
(Maria Cruz e Verônica Violant). Excelente notícia para reforçar o direito de educação da criança
doente. Parabéns!
On February 17th, REDLACEH received from UNESCO office in Paris, the approval for establish the RED UNITWIN of Hospital
Education (unitwinph2014@gmail.com). The professionals Maria Cruz Molina (cmolina@ub.edu), Veronica Violant Holz (vviolant@ub.edu) and Pia
Cardone de Bove (pialoha2001@gmail.com) are formalizing the bureaucracy asked by UNESCO as related to signatures and agreements by the
institutions coordinating the RED UNITWIN, that are: REDLACEH and University of Barcelona (Spain). That is an excellent happening to reinforce
the right of sick children to education. Congratulations!
No dia 13 de junho do presente ano, na cidade de Lima (Peru), deu-se a XX REUNIÃO DA
COMISSÃO DE EDUCAÇÃO, CULTURA, CIÊNCIA, TECNOLOGIA E COMUNICAÇÃO do
PARLAMENTO LATINOAMERICANO. Na mesma, foi apresentada a PROPOSTA DE ADEQUAÇÃO DA
LEGISLAÇÃO LATINOAMERICANA E CARIBENHA SOBRE O DIREITO DE EDUCAÇÃO DA
CRIANÇA DOENTE que foi organizada pela REDLACEH (www.redlaceh.com). Observações e
comentários sobre a proposta poderão ser feitos até 15 de agosto de 2014. A previsão é que o
documento seja aprovado em definitivo no mês de novembro quando haverá nova reunião do Parlamento.

On June 13rd this year, the city of Lima (Peru), held the XX Meeting of the Latin American Parliament Committee for Education,
Culture, Science, Technology and Communication. On this opportunity it was presented the Proposal for the Adjustment of the Latin American and
Caribean Legislation related to the sick child right to education. This proposal was organized by REDLACEH (www.redlaceh.com). Observations
ands commentaries about the proposal may be submitted until August 15th. It is possible that the final document may be approved on

A Secretaria de Educação de Bogotá (Colômbia) descreveu como se desenvolvem as atividades
escolares para as crianças doentes naquela cidade. A Colômbia tem avançado na garantia do direito de
educação a esta parcela da população contando com o trabalho comprometido de seus professores e das

The Bogotá (Colômbia) Secretary of Education described as the school activities for sick children are done in that city. Colombia is
improving to guarantee to this part of the population the right to education counting with a compromised work of teachers and the pedagogical

A Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) visitou a Universidade do Estado do
Amazonas (UEAM) para discutir a implantação de programa de pós-graduação em Educação, dentre
outros. A idéia é formalizar parcerias para especialização, mestrado (MINTER) e doutorado (DINTER).
Em conversa com a Faculdade de Educação da UERJ, a UEAM mostrou interesse pela temática de
atendimento escolar hospitalar.
The Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) visited the Amazonas State University (UEAM) to formulate a post graduation program in
Education, among others. The idea is to have partnership for specialization, master and doctors degrees. The UEAM in contact with the Faculty of
Education at UERJ, showed its interest on the area of teaching children in hospital.
A Associação Civil SEMILLAS DEL CORAZÓN (www.semillas.org.ar) que tem sede em Córdoba
(Argentina) completou 10 anos no dia 25 de junho. A entidade prima pelo ensino na doença e agradece
pela confiança das crianças e dos familiares assim como dos diversos profissionais que, direta ou
indiretamente, têm colaborado para o sucesso da entidade ao longo dos anos. Votos de continuado

The Seeds of the Heart Civil Association (www.semillas.org.ar) completed on June 25th 10 years of work. The focus of the association is
the teaching of sick children. The association thanks the sick children and their families for their confidence, as well as to the different professionals
that direct or indirectly have contributing for its success during this decade. Many greetings and a lot of success!
