means it cannot be a real

 It cannot measure students’
progress as a whole.
Formative Assessment
 It aims to improve learning  Feedback does not work at
all if the recipient does not
have a position to notice,
receive, interpret, and

learned and understood the
subject.

 Record scores.
 Weak areas are identified.
 May promote cheating due
to high stakes nature of
