HESSTON COLLEGE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Hesston College, the two-year college of Mennonite Church USA,
educates and nurtures each student within Christ-centered community,
integrating thought, life and faith for service to others in the church and
the world.
Hesston College offers a President's Scholarship and Dean's Scholarship. These scholarships are
based on high school grade point average and standardized test scores. To renew the scholarship,
President’s Scholars must maintain at least a 3.5 g.p.a. and Dean’s Scholars must maintain at
least a 3.0 g.p.a.

UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Founded in 1848, the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) is the flagship
university for the state of Mississippi. A world-class public research
university, the institution has a long history of producing leaders in public service, academics and
innovative research. With more than 21,500 students, Ole Miss is the state's largest university, with
a major medical school, a nationally recognized law school and 15 academic divisions.
Academic Excellence Scholarships are available for international freshman students, based on high
school marks and English proficiency. These merit-based awards range from $3000-$15,968.

2. PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS AND
ASSISTANTSHIPS
Pittsburg State University is a public university located in the southeast
corner of the state of Kansas. Serving approximately 7,000 students,
Pittsburg State has an international population of about 500 students
from 40 different countries. Pittsburg State offers more than 100 internationally recognized
undergraduate and graduate degrees. Although the university is more than 100 years old, class
sizes have remained small and individually focused. Pittsburg State University is very attractive to
prospective international students because of the quality of our programs and the comparatively
low tuition fees.
Pittsburg State University has a number international scholarships and assistantships for
undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate scholarships cover partial to full tuition.
Graduate assistantships can cover tuition and stipend for living expenses.

UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
The University of Kansas, a comprehensive research institution with 14
academic schools and over 190 fields of study, offers bachelor's,
master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as programs for intensive
English study. Enrolling 28,000 students, the University of Kansas has
been rated as a best buy by Kiplinger's, Fiske Guide to Colleges, Kaplan's, and the Princeton
Review.
KU International Recruitment & Undergraduate Admissions offers several merit-based scholarships
to new international undergraduate degree-seeking students each year. Graduate students may be
considered for graduate teaching, graduate research assistantships or fellowships awarded by
graduate programs and academic departments.

GEORGIA COLLEGE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
As Georgia's public liberal arts university, Georgia College offers
undergraduate programs of study to talented and motivated students in a
residential college setting. Georgia College also provides, at multiple
locations, graduate and professional studies that support the needs of the region and create
pathways to individual success and personal fulfillment.
Georgia College is pleased to announce the availability of at least 15 International Student
Scholarships in the amount of $18,400 USD for Spring 2014. Applications for the scholarship can
be found inside of the international application for admission. Similar awards are available for
graduate students.

3. ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN MEDICAL COLLEGES ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF
GLOBAL HEALTH LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES COLLABORATIVE
Recognizing an increasing need to treat different patient populations, develop
cross-cultural understanding, and learn about health systems and approaches
to medical care delivery in other nations, the AAMC (Association of American
Medical Colleges) today announced a new initiative to facilitate cross-border
engagement for medical students and faculty.
