  • The Future Internet Public-Private Partnership was launched in May 2011 to advance Europe's competitiveness in Future Internet technologies and systems. Industry driven, it supports innovative Internet-enhanced applications of public and social relevance, notably in urban areas. It aims to make public service infrastructures and business processes smarter, meaning more intelligent, more efficient, more sustainable. The Future Internet PPP projects address different areas such as energy, health, logistics/transport, content industry or the sensing enterprise, however builds on a common technological components that are re-usable, open and interoperable with evolving infrastructure and technologies.
  • Before looking at the opportunities offered by the third phase of the FI-PPP, there are possibilities to join already the second phase.
