Setting up and sharing your Personal Stream

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to: ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

First, you’ll need to create your Personal Stream * ,[object Object],[object Object],* If you have recently signed-up to an Eqentia account, your Personal Stream is automatically created and its subscription is added to your Personal News Page .

When you first land on your Personal Stream page, you will see instructions, which will soon be replaced by your content. You can return to the instructions by clicking on the “?” link near top right of the page.

Notice that the address of this page is portal.eqentia.com/u/username. Your Personal Stream page will be private, by default, but you can change it to public by clicking on “private.”

Adding content There are several ways to add content to your Personal Stream : ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

1. Search the Eqentia news database ,[object Object],[object Object]

From the search results page, add any article to your Personal Stream by: ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

2. Import your Twitter Favorites ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

If you did not log in to Eqentia using your Twitter ID: ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

3. Import from Google Reader ,[object Object],[object Object]

4. Grab interesting articles using the MarkIt bookmarklet ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

5. Create instant filters using InstAlert ,[object Object],[object Object]

Whenever you are viewing web content, you can create alerts which will add similar future content to your Personal Stream ,[object Object],[object Object]

A new window will open, showing you the Articles captured by your new alert ,[object Object],[object Object]

6. Add from any Eqentia Portal ,[object Object]

Curate a Personal News Stream ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

To modify your Alerts ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

[object Object],by clicking within the alert text, making changes, and saving. You can also delete the alert.
