1. Who are your existing clients?
Who are they? And why do they buy from you? Look for common characteristics
and interests. Which ones bring in the most business?

2. Your competition
Who are their current customers and who are your competitors targeting?
Think of a niche market that they might be overlooking.

3. Analyse your product/service
Write out a list of each feature of your product or service. Next to each
feature, list the benefits they provide

4. Choose specific demographics
who is most likely to buy it. Think about the following:
• Age     • Location • Gender • Income level • Education level
• Marital or family status • Occupation • Ethnic background

5. Consider the psychology
Psychology is more personal characteristics of a person including:
• Personality • Attitudes • Values
• Interests/hobbies • Lifestyle • Behaviour

Determine how your product or service will fit into your target’s lifestyle.

5 Tips for Writing a Facebook Post with the Perfect Call to Action

1. Ask a question: The question you ask should speak directly to your target users’ needs,
wants or interests. The more specific and detailed the question is, the better. You want the
question to grab the attention of Facebook users..

2. Provide some information: Once you’ve asked a question, follow it up with some
information. The most appealing of status updates are ones that offer the users something–
it could be information or entertainment. Keep in mind though, if the objective is to direct
users elsewhere (like your blog or website) don’t fully disclose everything valuable that you
have to offer.

3. Always provide a link: While we’re on the topic of links, be sure to provide one. Not all
Facebook posts need a link.

4. Don’t bother yourself with a word limit: You have more than 140 characters. Just posting
“Click here!” or “Take our survey!” with a link is not a strong enough call to action– nor is it a
strong Facebook post.

5. Provide an image or Video: Visuals always help. With CTAs especially, images can really
complement and spearhead the success of a CTA. For instance, you can ask a question that
relates to the image or provide a graphic that provides some knowledge to the user.

1. Deeper than a logo: Your logo is not your brand. Your brand is the essence of
who and what you are. It’s everything from your CEO to the receptionist

2. Consistent: Did you know it takes 6-7 brand impressions for someone to
remember your brand at all? Yup, so that means every impression must count.

3. Unique: There is only one you so be that person and business. Do not copy your
competition or partners.

Don’t just throw up your boring logo or a picture of your CEO. Think in terms of
emotional brand connection. How can you truly connect with your target audience?

4. Relevant: Your brand must mean something and resonate with your target
audience. They need to be able to connect with who you are, what you say, what
you do and how you make them feel.

5. Simple: I love brands that make people think but at the same time are easy to
