3. Teachers Parents e Communication Book A centralised point of continual contact to facilitate interactions between parents and teachers in a systematic fashion using technology as a support back bone.

Process Flow – New Communication 1) Teacher logs In 2) Selects class, division and Student (s) 3) Enters Communication Text 4) Posts Communication Text in to the selected student (s) e communication book 5) Automated e-mail/SMS is sent to the registered guardian/ parent regarding the new entry Parents

8. Process Flow – Message Queue 1) Teacher logs In 2) View list of parent responses or new communication by time of receipt or by student name alphabetically ordered 3) On clicking the desired link, the parent comment and response box open in a new pop-up 4) On closure of this new pop-up, a message is sent back to the parent with the time, date and name of the teacher who has read the message along with response / comments if any.

Process Flow – Delivery Gaps View list of cases where SMS delivery flag is NO and e-mail delivery flag is NO and message read flag is NO Teacher logs in View list of cases where SMS delivery flag is YES and e-mail delivery flag is NO and message read flag is NO Call the parent and update the mobile number and e-mail id. Call the parent and update the e-mail id.

Process Flow – Parent Interface Parent logs in Initiate new communication with the teacher Review communication and reply with comment if required Post message on bulletin board Queue to the designated Teacher (s) Flag as read and queue to the designated teacher (s) in case of a reply Queue to the supervisor for approval
