9. KPI Analysis System Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal The Performance Production Analysis Module is basically a KPI analysis system which can support TPM’s functions providing enough information to delete non-value-added activities. This system will be able to report the information in real time to several areas inside the company. Manual Automatic KPI Calculation

13. Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal This is a typical architecture of a KPI analysis system implementation. Architecture and Implementation Management Level Control Level

15. Control Level – Programming Logic for PLC Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal Some of the most important storaged data in PLC for software configuration are: - Part Count - Scrap Count (Usually entered by Operator Through HMI) - Product ID - Operator ID - Production Order ID - Ideal Cycle Time - Shift - Available Indicator - Running Indicator - Downtime Indicator - Downtime Code
16. Control Level – Operator Panel (HMI) Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal When PLC is not able to Capture equipment information automatically, it is necessary equipment operator enter this information using an operator panel.
17. Management Level Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal Management level is made up by a server where a database to storage information and the KPI software for KPI calculations (KPI analysis system) are installed. Clients Control System Server
18. Programming Logic and HMI System Tests Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal When programming logic and HMI application are ready, it is useful to conduct some tests in order to ensure the information will be available every time. For example, the information can change when some events occur: Operator change, Product Change, shift change and so on.

20. Report Configuration Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal The information is reported to each area taking into account the agreement reached at meeting with area managers of the company involved in the project. Most common tools to report information are: bar diagrams, pies, text tables and time series.
21. Training People and System Tracking Steven Muñoz and Yesid Vidal After implementation of KPI analysis system has finished, it is necessary to invest 1 or 2 days in order to give training for people who will be in charge of analyze the information provided by system started up. Finally, it is good idea to validate de information provided automatically by system through a comparison of System’s data and information collected by operators in dashboards manually
