   Students make appropriate use of a range of materials, equipment and electronic devices.

   ES1.2: Uses technology with teacher guidance in mathematical situations.

   WM1.6: Uses the available technology to explore basic mathematical concepts

The student, for example:

      uses a cup rather than a spoon to fill a bottle

      explores buttons on the calculator and records findings

      uses a computer program to count, draw 2D shapes and make patterns

      uses computer software to draw squares and triangles

      builds a wall using empty cans

      uses beads and strings to make patterns.

       ES1.9: Manipulates groups of objects by combining and separating.

   The student, for example:
   •
 models and describes the action of adding two groups of objects
   •
 models and describes equal groups or rows of objects
   •
 models and describes the sharing of a group of objects into equal and unequal groups
   •
 removes part of a group of objects and states the number of objects remaining.
