I. Subjects

Subject Predicate
Fruits in tropical area taste delicious.
Fruits and vegetables grow fast and spoil easily.
Examples:

A Sentence
1. Simple Subjects
 The Simple subject is the single word which is the
subject of a verb
Simple Subject Predicate
My students are studying hard this semester.
I want to make more friends.
John always thinks twice before doing
something
2. Complete Subjects
 A complete subject are the subject word with all its
modifiers.
Subject Predicate
My students are studying hard now.
Simple Subject

3. Compound Subjects
 When the subject of a sentence is made up of two or
more elements, it's called a compound subject.
Subject Predicate
My student and I are discussing grammar point now.
All students, lecturers, and staff are encouraged to speak all day.
All students or lecture can clean the board.
Both pen and pencil are good for learning.
Either pen or pencil is good for me.
Neither red pen nor black pen is allowed to use during exam.
