Looking at Student Work Kate’s 3 rd  Grade Class See Think Wonder 2 dots in the sky Probably not the first time they’ve done this Looks like praying-what makes the kids say that? All noticed people first Worked together or side by side When this lesson took place in terms of talking about the history of Thanksgiving All noted background I think there is evidence of some prior knowledge in the responses What are the two dots? Evidence of prior knowledge Think the students were thinking about previous study on the topic Wonder who is the boy sniffing? Kids noted all standing adults are sitting Wonder when Kate did the assignment? I see parallel answers (esp on #2) What are the eyes in the sky? 1 general-2 specific
