C6H12O6 пѓ C3H4O3 пѓ C2H6O + CO2
Ethanol or as we know as alcohol in our beverages can be made from any fruit or vegetable that
performs photosynthesis which produces glucose shown As required as the reactant of the previous
equations.
Balanced chemical equation for Photosynthesis:
6CO2 + 6H2O пѓ C6H12O6 + 6O2 (light energy is used as a catalyst in this equation)
Balanced chemical equation for the fermentation of glucose to ethanol:
C6H12O6(aq) пѓ 2C2H5OH(l) + 2CO2(g) (yeast acts as a catalyst in this reaction.)
As the diagram on the right displays, one molecule of Glucose produces two molecules of carbon
dioxide and two molecules of ethanol. The fermentation of glucose to ethanol is only possible if
oxygen is absent otherwise instead of producing ethanol and carbon dioxide, lactic acid is produced
instead.
The first part of the breakdown of glucose is known as Glycolysis, in which one molecule of
glucose is broken down to two molecules of pyruvate (C3H4O3). The second part is the
fermentation process in which the two pyruvate molecules are converted to two molecules of
ethanol and two molecules of carbon dioxide.
PART B
i. Ethanol is considered as a alternative fuel at a lower cost level in relation to gasoline. It is
produced by fermenting sugars from a range of feedstock such as wheat and corn. Ethanol is
blended with gasoline from E10 (5% ethanol 95% gasoline) to E85 (85% ethanol 15% gasoline).

4. Corruption in Kenya
Corruption in Kenya
Introduction
Corruption is a global phenomenon and is not bound to be found only in the developing countries
but also in the developed countries of the world. Corruption crosses boundaries or age and is
mentioned in the religious books of old such as the Bible (Deuteronomy Chapter 16, verses 19),
and in Chinese dynasty of Qin Dynasty (221 207).[1] Examples of corruption in developed countries
include in Russia where the government of Putin went through all methods known to them to
corruptly take away the petroleum mining from the owner,[2]who also is accused of having
acquired the wealth corruptly under the leadership of Boris Yeltin s rule which cost Russia its

bribery; fraud; embezzlement or misappropriation of public funds; abuse of office; breach of trust;

6. Selective Inos Inhibitor
Specific Aims
We propose to modify the recently discovered natural product terpenoids to develop a selective
iNOS inhibitor with improved in vivo properties.
Specific Aim #1: To confirm and enhance bonding of terpenoids to iNOS. A SILAC experiment
will allow the action of the small molecule on iNOS, eNOS, and nNOS to be confirmed. SAR
studies will then be performed to enhance selectivity towards iNOS and improve pharmacological
properties.
Specific Aim #2: To study the effects of iNOS inhibition on angiogenesis. The development of
vessels from human umbilical stem cells in the presence of either one of our terpenoids, a
traditional iNOS inhibitor, a genetic knockdown, or a control will be studied to determine the effect
of iNOS inhibition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Provided the natural product does not simply quench nitric oxide, further testing will be
performed. Alternatively, if the natural product does show activity towards nitric oxide, it will
be modified to a moiety less sensitive to the radical before further testing is performed. To test
for the selectivity of these molecules SILAC testing will be performed. Using the computer dock
data from the terpenoid paper, a bead will be attached to the small molecule near the isopropyl
group, which does not seem to be involved in any major interactions in the active site. This bead
placement will need to be confirmed experimentally by testing the nitric oxide production of cells in
the presence of the compound and the compound with the bead are similar. After the location of
bead placement is determined, one set of cells will be grown with the small molecule in heavy
medium and another control set of cells in regular medium with no compound. After incubation, the
proteins that have attached to the small molecule can be determined through mass spectroscopy

Perception v.s Reality
In A Midsummer Night s Dream, perception versus reality becomes a major aspect of the play
because the contrast of the woods versus the city and love versus infatuation. In the woods there is
much deception from the characters and fairies to make the lovers perceive love for each other
which is actually just infatuation. The city is full of chaos and people telling each other what
they need to do, but in the city the lovers still had some sort of control over their themselves.
Egeus is trying to force his daughter into loving someone she does not love. Egeus can make his
daughter do things she does not want to but he cannot make her love someone that she does not. In
the woods people use magic to make the lovers think they are in love.

8. Roles Of Religion In Ancient China
Often times religion is used as a way to enforce certain actions or justify a way of doing
something. This was discussed in relation to nature and primarily Western societies in an earlier
reading but also pertains to many social aspects of the Eastern religions (Tucker, Grim 2604). In
China, religion is shown to greatly influence the social hierarchy and could be used as
justification as to why people are in the positions that they are ( Poceski 27). One of the three
characters identified as the Three Sovereigns was a female figure who is said to have created the
first humans. According to myth, she molding the aristocrats first and did so carefully with high

9. Ticks Use Several Ways For Locate Hosts
Ticks use several ways to locate hosts. Some quest, i.e. they crawl onto vegetation and wait for
passing hosts which they grab onto using their front legs, then crawl on the host until they find a
suitable site to attach and feed (Walker et al., 2003). The tick s questing behaviour is related to host
kairomones which are residues rubbed off host body onto vegetation (Terassini et al., 2010). Ticks
become akinetic upon encountering residues of kairomones (Carroll, 1998). As Artiodactyla and
Peryssodactyla usually frequent the same trails (Emmons and Feer, 1997), ticks waiting on these
positions have a chance of successfully encountering the host (Carroll, 2003). Arrestment
pheromones present in cast larval skins, tickfaecal droppings and tick body exudates also induce
akinetic (Sonenshine and Roe, 2014). These two pheromones result in clustering of ticks. The
arrestment pheromones are interspecies specific, i.e Ornithodoros moubata arrestment pheromones
induce ceasation of movement in O. tholozani (Sonenshine, 2004). This behaviour is also expressed
between some different genera (Sonenshine and Roe, 2014).
Adult ticks of Amblyomma and Hyalomma are exophilic, i.e. they hunt for a nearby host by
running across the ground (Walker et al., 2003). Argasids and many Ixodes species are endophilic,
i.e. they spent their life time in a host s nest from where they attach to available host. A few species
of ticks have adapted to human dwellings, e.g. Rhipicephalus sanguineus. These feed

10. The City Of The Aztec Empire
When thinking of ancient, urban centers many think of ancient capitals such as Rome, Athens, or
Cairo. However, across the Atlantic Ocean in Central and South America, there were a number of
growing urban centers being built by the Aztec, Mayan, and Incan civilizations. An example of a
Central American urban center is Tenochtitlan. Tenochtitlan was the capital of the ancient Aztec
capital which is located in present day Mexico City, Mexico. The development of this ancient city
was dependent on three important factors: favorable ecology, advancing technology, and social
organization. With these three preconditions, the growth of Tenochtitlan as a major urban center
and as the capital of the Aztec s civilization was able to flourish.
Similarly to modern day real estate, location played a detrimental role in determining whether or
not an urban center could truly develop and flourish. A location with favorable ecology allows for
resources such as agriculture to be produced near or within the city. However, agriculture is not the
only element of ecology that allows for a city to develop. Other ecological elements such as rivers,
lakes, elevation, mineral resource, and building materials are important in determining whether or
not a location has favorable ecology (28). Tenochtitlan is often compared to Europe s Venice due to
its structure and location within the Valley of Mexico. The landscape of the Valley of Mexico
consisted of multiple lakes and resembled a water filled

11. Ellis Island First Person Creative Essay
This is a creative essay on Ellis Island, describing life as an immigrant who went to Ellis Island
through first person. All facts and dates are historically correct.
I come from Spain. My name is Carmina Diaz.
I immigrated because of the Cristero War, in Spain. The war was actually a rebellion of the Roman
Catholics in Spain who were persecuted by the government. There were dangers such as raids and
the death toll was growing higher every day. Being a Catholic Christian family who simply wanted
to live in peace, we moved out to escape the war and the persecution that had caused it.

I stayed healthy but I wondered if the more sick would make it into America.
Now focusing on some of the more tasteful parts of the voyage. I m normally quite shy. Living so
close to others breeds annoyance and irritation, especially towards those others, but I did make a
few friends. There was this bouncy girl, also from Spain, called Carlotta. She spoke Portuguese
as well as Spanish and introduced me to her good friend Sancho from Portugal. We all became
friends and discussed our homelands and topics like school and cultural differences. We were
amazed at how different our lives were. Yet we were friends on board.
Reaching Ellis Island
When the ship finally arrived at America. I was feeling excited yet apprehensive. I felt excited to
see this new world that had been all the talk on the ship. However, worry was practically eating
my insides; where would we go? What would we do? Would wild animals attack us? How would
we earn our living? Would there be savages waiting for us? Where were we landing? Would we
be sent back? What would the people be like? Would I still be able to go to school? Would we
have to live off the land? (If so, I could take Carlotta and Sancho with me)! I could not bear the
thought of another few weeks cooped up in that ship. Of course, I was nervous, and there were
butterflies in my stomach, too!
In my imagination, America had been a wild and dangerous jungle. I was disappointed when I saw

time, Punjabi voices controlled the industry. She did not give up even after a few rejections.
Finally, director, Ghulam Haider, gave Lata her breakthrough song with Dil Mera Toda from the
movie Majboor in 1948. Haider said, Let me foretell today that this girl will soon put to shade
everyone else including Noor Jahan (a famous singer of the 1940 s). Producers and signers will
fall at her feet begging her to sing in their films. quot; (Kumar, n.d). Initially Lata was heavily
influenced by Noor Jahan s whose voice strong and powerful represented the openness, strength
and extroversion of the Punjab. In fact Lata was requested by many producers to alter her voice
to sound more like Noor Jahan s since the perception was that her thin voice would no go down
well with the famed strong and powerful voice of Noor Jahan (Parikmunir, 2004).
1949 became a powerful year for Lata s career. She participated in four films, Barsaat, Andaaz,

song, Aaega Aanewaalaa (Ibid.). She climbed the industry and influencing all those around her.

14. Comparing Marriage In Marie De France s Sir Gawain And The...
The medieval literary genre of romance deals, according to Cooper, with the subject matter
concerning love or chivalry, or both. (10) In Romances love and marriage, two matters often
associated with each other, are treated as two entirely separate things. In Eliduc by Marie de
France and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, marriageis not done out of love, and keeping chivalric
codes and promises is paramount, even if it complicates extramarital affairs. In Marie de France s
lai Eliduc the titular character refrains from sleeping with his paramour because of his binding
contract with his wife. The marriage between Eliduc and GuildelГјec is treated like a contract rather
than a romantic relationship, but Eliduc, being an honourable knight, has to adhere to chivalric
codes and keeps his promise to stay loyal to GuildelГјec. Eliduc repeatedly doubts whether his
affair with Guilliadon is morally sound because of the implications it will have on his marriage.

The setting of these scenes, the bed, has, according to Hahn, nothing to do with heterosexual
passion, but rather with the marriage contract between a woman and husband (224). Because
Gawain and the host s wife are not married, this setting is peculiar. However in the sixth verse of
part three of the poem the lady claims that if she could choose, she would rather be married to
Gawain than to her own husband. It is clear that from the host s wife s perspective, marriage and
love are two separate affairs. By repeatedly attempting to seduce Gawain, the lady challenges his
virtues, especially his courtesy and his chivalry. When Gawain refuses to kiss her, she accuses him
from being uncourteous. However by kissing her, Gawain is breaking his chivalric code and his

Have you ever wondered what earth would be like in the near future with over 10 billion people
from 7 billion? A newspaper source from Population Peril states that there are 210,000 new
people everyday and by 2050 that there will be roughly 9.6 billion people (McClatchy). How are
we going to prevent the disastrous measure of pollution, diseases, extinction of resources, more
poverty, people and etc.? As the world s overpopulationproblem should be changed to prevent
future severe issues. First off, the proponent states that the one future major problem that will
ineffably get worse is epidemic or outbreaks of disease and viruses. The more people on earth the
higher chance diseases will evolve and travel faster. As Keiji Fukuda, then the assistant director
general for health security at the World Health Organization (WHO), said in 2013, The world is
not ready for a large, severe outbreak. (Angell). Some new and old epidemic diseases that will get
worse with more people is Zika (mosquito), Cholera (sewage), Ebola, SARS (severe acute
respiratory syndrome), and MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome). Another virus is the bird
flu that is even a further severe disease problem as well as anything airborne. The New York
Times, Michael T. Osterholm, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy
at the University of Minnesota, wrote, Even more than these viruses, we should be afraid of a

lungs as you choke coughing for air. Look deeper, and further imagine having a house full of
your own children scrambling to exit in time before the house burns and crumbles to ashes. This
is what Anne Bradstreet woke up too as she explained in Upon the Burning of the House on July
10th, 1666, as she stood and watched her house glow in a blaze of flames. Anne has many
concerns as her house has burned down, but she looks on the brighter side, the Puritan side, and
she knows that God has made her a house in heaven and that everything happens for a reason and
God has better things waiting for her than Anne had before the fire. She starts to show her... Show

All of her concerns are hidden in the story and you have to go deep to comprehend her feelings
in her writing. Anne believes everything happens for a reason because of God. Everything that
was on fire she did not actually own for herself, for everything she owned actually belonged to
God. So, she could not mourn and ache the lost because God had the right to take all of her
valued items away. Anne, having very religious beliefs, does not want to shame god by showing
her emotions. Although she had often questioned the strict concept of her judgmental God, as
God was Anne s almighty idol, she had never hesitated to trust the actual existence of her higher
being. Anne believes that she is a good enough Puritan that she has a special place in heaven
waiting for her when it is her time to go. She believes a heavenly place will be built for her on
permanent grounds and her house will consist of many expensive furnishings all financed by
God, for Anne does not know the actual value of these items, but she does not need to know that
as she does not even need expensive stuff now, in the real world, if all of it is waiting for her up in
heaven. All three of these concerns are her main concerns through her

Main Case Study 4 6: Grand Jean Company
Introduction
This case study covers case 4 6 of Management Control Systems , written by Robert N. Anthony
and Vijay Govindarajan (2007, 12th edition). The case discusses Grand Jean Company, a jeans
manufacturing company, and describes several processes and issues in their organisation and
management. In this report, we will we review and discuss the main problems that Grand Jean
Company faces, analyse and propose solutions to these problems.

Grand Jean then immediately terminates the relationship, and does not try to aid its contractors in
any way that we have noticed. This is a waste of invested time and resources in the relationship,
which could be easily avoided by closer collaboration and communication, combined with more a
more flexible framework. The existing facilities are not used for a period of time; which is an
additional waste of resources.
The key metrics that Grand Jean use to evaluate the company s performance are very outdated. The
main focus throughout the company is to focus on production output and metrics that affect or can
be derived from focusing on production quantity e.g. production/year, standard hours/pair. However,
there seems to be no consideration of metrics that affect the overall performance of the company.
As mentioned before, the contractor s that failed to meet expectations were usually just replaced by
a new contractor in the same existing facility, this is an activity that impacts the company s overall
performance, as time and money has to again be spent re negotiating terms of agreement, setting up
and starting production lines. Overall the key metrics do not focus on activities that can have a
more profound impact on the company s performance. The heavy focus on production quota causes
the company to

During the Civil War, in 1863, Susan founded the Women s Loyal League, which fought for the
freeing of slaves.
Susan s work for women s rights began when she met a mother of young children by the name of
Elizabeth Cady Stanton in 1851. The two women worked on reforming New York state laws
discriminating women. Susan organized state campaigns for legal reforms and delivered speeches
written by Stanton.
Elizabeth and Susan organized the National Women SuffrageAssociation and worked hard for a
constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote. Even though the 15th amendment
allowed newly freed slaves to vote, women of any race still could not vote. For ten years, Susan
and Elizabeth wrote their newspaper, the Revolution, focusing on the injustices suffered by women.
In the 1872 presidential election, Susan decided to register and cast a ballot to protest for women s
rights. She was arrested, convicted, and refused to pay the one hundred dollar fine. Susan Anthony
went to Europe in 1883, to meet other women s rights activists. Later, in 1888, she helped form the
International American Council of Women, which represented 48 countries.
At the age of eighty, Susan B. Anthony resigned as president of the National American Women
Suffrage Association, but continued to be a speaker at the conventions until she died in Rochester,
New York, on March 13, 1906.

19. American Freedom Of Speech And Expression
The American people are each unique human beings, not one is like the other. Americans can be
defined as people of self expression and diligence in the workforce because they have multiple
freedoms, rights to be themselves, as well as gratitude towards the United States of America.
Many Characteristics can be used to describe an American but self expression and hard work are
the most important ones. These characteristics are what helped the American society grow into
the strong community it is today. To begin with, American s are admired for their freedom. In
America, people believe a person is born with rights and freedoms. People in America are free to
be themselves as well as express themselves. To define an American as free includes their rights
as a human. Franklin D Roosevelt gave a speech in 1941 about people s freedoms. He states that
everyone is entitled to all the freedoms as a human being. Roosevelt stated The first is freedom
of speech and expression (44). This freedom is in correlation to an American right in Amendment
I, freedom of speech. All of the freedoms Americans have contributed to who they really are.
Freedoms of religion, speech, press and many more make each person unique. Nobody is telling
an American they cannot be, say or do anything. They are free people under the law to live in a
way that makes them happy. American s use their self expression through their rights in order to be
free when it comes to speech and many other rights.

1.1.Milkman s lover Hagar
At the same time as Milkman has less air for breathing at home, he gets to know his cousin

That ain t her brother, Mama. They cousins , Pilate counters, I mean what s the difference in the
way you act toward em? Don t you have to act the same way to both? (Morrison 54). This first
encounter sets the basis of Hagar s and Milkman s relationship. Pilate makes clear that family is
family no matter the degree of kinship. Accordingly, Pilate tries to predetermine how Hagar should
regard her cousin and this conversely reveals the incestuous nature of Milkman and Hagar s coming
relationship. Notwithstanding, Morrison writes that From the first time he saw her, when he was

her. From this moment forth, Hagar makes Milkman the center of her life by becoming the active
since Milkman no longer chases her (Qasim and Asmat 193). Apparently Milkman loses interest
when he seems to own her. Interestingly, this relationship is primarily depicted as a physical one.
This directly results in the fact that Milkman s interest is primarily of a sexual nature, but does not
truly love or value her. So it is not surprising that, instead of recognizing true love, he describes
Hagar as the third beer. Not the first one, which the throat receives with almost tearful gratitude; nor
the second, that confirms and extends the pleasure of the first. But the third, the one you drink

23. Symbolism And Symbolism In The Thing In The Forest
The Thing in the the story The Thing in the Forest is a far more symbolic image than just a scary
and dreadful monster that lingers in the forest. That also happens to be seen by two little girls
that meet and become close friends while on a their way to safety. The story takes place during
World War II. The two main characters are two little girls Penny and Primrose. They are sent
with a large number of other children to evacuate and to be sent away by train from their homes
in the city. Due to the bombings by the German warplanes on the british cities. So these young
children were forced to evacuate a world of war to more secure and safer locations in the
countryside. All of the detail and information given in the story leads up to some really big
symbolic imagery. Like the little girls Penny and rimrose for instance. The way Penny is
described in the story is as very Thin and dark and taller Had a bloodless transparent paleness, a
touch of blue in her fine lips. (Byatt 325) Something about these words leaves the mind to
wander about the girl Penny. Maybe Primrose had mad and imaginary friend due to the
loneliness and fear of being sent away. Also there s the idea that Penny is actually a friend of
Primrose but had died, now Primrose sees her ghost and keeps in contact with it. This is
symbolic to the story because primrose is finding comfort and safety within a friend that is
maybe isn t really there or exist. ( Bryatt 325) The main symbolic imagery in the story happens
one day when Penny and Primrose decide to go and wonder in the forest just like any other
curious and adventurous little child does. To a place that would seem like a mystery or just fun
to go and look at. As they are in the forest wandering around they come into contact with a Thing,
a thing they ve never seen, smelled, or heard before. They see this thing it s a worm like monster
gliding through the forest leaving tails of smile and it s such a horrendous sight that they never
forget it. All the descriptions lead up to the bigger picture of what the Thing really represents in the
story and what back ground it has to tell. The sounds of this creature was described as A crunching,
a crackling, a crushing , heavy thumping and

Eric, the Huntsman, seems to be somewhat an outcast in his character. Due to the fact that he only

he is desperate and tortured knowing that he will not get his wife back whether or not he goes to

The Huntsman s Journey
The Huntsman happened to obey orders and take this journey as the Queen demanded, although he
expects something in return, something that means everything to him. He was set out into the Dark
Forest to find Snow White and supposably kill her, when unanticipatedly he was her savior and
protector throughout their journey together. Throughout this adventure, Snow White and the

The Initiation

be able to survive anything that approaches the Dark Forest. He is then able to transform into a
better hero than what he expected to be by staying by Snow White s side, knowing he could not

Furthermore, Muslim women are portrayed as oppressed and abused by their husbands. Through

The Western culture disregards many factors that prove that this statement is a fallacy. The
Western media spreads false generalizations of Muslim women around the world, which results
in society believing in these fallacies. In crime dramas such as CSI or Criminal Minds, Muslim
women are almost always represented as victims of male domestic violence; women s
appearances in police films or television shows were often cut short by a male who asserts that he
is in change. (Media Portrayals of Religion: Islam). These kinds of television shows are examples
of the way that the Western media depicts Muslim women as helpless and abused. These kinds of
generalizations suggest that the Western media believes that Muslim men are more superior to
Muslim women. The media disregards that fact that this issue is not limited to the Islamic culture
because it is also an issue in the Western culture and religion. Furthermore, domestic violence is
not and will never be limited to just the Islamic religion. This is proven by the statistic that On any
given day in Canada, more than 3,300 (along with their 3,000 children) are forced to sleep in an
emergency shelter to escape domestic violence. Every night, about 200 women are turned away
because the shelters are full (The Facts about Violence against Women). This statistic shows that

Slackers are the people in the group who lack the effort to do anything in the group. These
people will just run around the room, acting like animals, and will not try to get any work done,
thinking that you will do it for them. These individuals will mess with your plans in anyway
possible, whether it be the construction of the project, or the pieces of the project you assign to
each member. These people will give you lousy excuses for not finishing their part of the
project, and make the rest of the group agitated. They will also ruin your grade on this project.
Unless you want to stay up all night to do their work to salvage you and your teammates grades,
you will not be getting a good grade if you are missing things that the slacker decided they did
not need to do. Even if you have people who are frustrating, there are the people who will work
with you and want a good grade as badly as you do. These people will work with you to try to
finish the project and cooperate with you. But even if you have these especially exceptional
people, there are still the people who will fight with you with everything and will not work at all.
Group work is the worst part of school, with the people who do not cooperate and work, the time

Nazi Propaganda was a well know thing during the holocaust. Hitler and Joseph Goebbels were

Goebbels the country s minister for public enlightenment and propaganda. Goebbels had
complete jurisdiction over the content of German newspapers, magazines, books, music, films,
stage plays, radio programs and fine arts. His mission was to censor all opposition to Hitler and
present the chancellor and the Nazi Party in the most positive light while stirring up hatred for

reasons. The purpose of propaganda was to condition and convince people, and get them to believe
in the values and ideas of the Nazis.
Propaganda is well known for war posters. It is a mode of communication aimed at influencing the
attitude of a community toward some cause or position. Propaganda was used by the Nazi party in
the years leading up to and during Adolf Hitler s leadership of Germany. Propaganda was a crucial
instrument for acquiring and maintaining power. The Nazis used propaganda to increase their

32. Climate Change No Hiding Place Analysis
Climate change, global warming, greenhouse effect even if you only watch the news periodically,
these are phrases that you have most likely become aware of. In short, climate change is the change
global and regional patterns regarding climate; this is due to possible changes in the Earth s axis,
human activity modifying the composition of the atmosphere, or geographical activity such as
volcanic eruptions [1]. Many have speculated and argued whether climatechange actually exists.
Regardless of your opinion, a staggering amount of scientists have accepted climate changeas a
reality. In fact, the much admired astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson claims that individuals
denying scientific facts is the beginning of the end of an informed democracy [2]. The article
Climate Change: No Hiding Place supports Neil deGrasse Tyson s notion stating those who doubt
that greenhouse gases are quite the problem they have been cracked up to be by most of the world

the people and animals dependent on them for their survival. Long, intense heat waves continue

behind all of this madness; this reason is global warming. Global warming is a problem that some
people choose to ignore. They claim it does not exist. Global warming is real. It is time for people
to stop ignoring it and start searching for a solution. Although many people do not believe in global

The melting ice cube symbolizes the melting of the ice caps, and as it melts there will be more
water in the glass, symbolizing the rise in sea level. This is an example of an elementary science
experiment that proves just how simple it is to understand the effects of global warming. The shift
of plant and animal ranges is caused by the changing climate. Places that had been too cold for
certain plants and animals are now warming up and may be warm enough to allow different plants
and animals to live there then had in the past. While other, already warm, places may become too
hot for certain plants and animals.
Carbon Dioxide is one of the key contributors to the concept of global warming, because it is so
easily released in our world today. Carbon dioxide comes from natural processes. It comes from
burning fossil fuels, volcanic eruptions and even a person s own breathing. This concentration of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is measured in parts per million. Before the Industrial
Revolution, there was around 280 parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Now
there are 395.93 parts per million as of October 2014, according to CO2Now.org. This shows a

Modus operandi consists of motives, methods of killing, signature, and more. When
investigators use the M.O to create a criminal profile, it becomes easier for them to predict the
killer s next move. Motives can either have a category of power driven, financial, or revenge
/mission based. Power driven killers tend to disable their victims in some way to have complete
control over them. Ted Bundy falls under the category of power killer. He spent years evading
police all over the country. His modus operandi consisted of standing on the side of the road with
a fake cast to get young women to help him (Norris 218). When they walked over to help him, he
incapacitated them and put them in his car. He removed the passenger seat from his car so he
could lay the bodies down without anyone seeing them in his car.
Many revenge killings take place because the perpetrator, wants to take their anger out on
someone who reminds them of the person they hate. One episode of Criminal Minds tells the
story of a man who kills blonde women who look like his overbearing wife. The Green River Killer
fits the mission serial killer mould, characterized by the desire to seek revenge against a particular
type of person

needed. The stakeholders will again be consulted before any final determinations are made. Once a
tool or vendor is determined the design team will work on implementing the design. The design will
be implemented as part of the project plan timeline and Smith will provide developer testing in
addition to end user acceptance testing. This ensures that the final product matches the goals of the
system as laid out in the project plan. Once acceptance testing is completed the system will be
implemented and the system will enter its training phase as indicated in the project plan. After full
implementation, the system will enter the maintenance phase. Depending on the term of the

36. Prokaryotic Vs Eukaryotic Essay
Prokaryotic are organisms whose DNA is not confined within a membrane enclosed nucleus.
Prokaryotic organisms are single, but some prokaryotic organisms are multicellular. Eukaryotes are
organisms who cells are organized into complex structures by internal membranes and a
cytoskeleton. (Cundy, 2012) The most characteristic membrane bound structure is the nucleus.
Animals, plants, fungi, and protists are eukaryotic. Prokaryotic organisms are typically between
0.1 to 5.0 um in size while Eukaryotic organisms are between 5 10 um. Prokaryotic organisms have
pili, cytosol, ribosomes, capsule, cellwall, plasma membrane, DNA, and chromosome also known as
plasmids. (Cundy, 2012) They do not have a nucleus, lysosomes, microtubules, endoplasmic
reticulum,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is what allows prokaryotes to attach to other surfaces. Cytosol is a water like fluid found in
the cytoplasm. Cytoplasm is inside the plasma membrane but outside the nucleus. The cell wall is
made of polysaccharides just outside the plasma membrane and its made of cellulose. (Cundy,
2012) The plasma membrane is the outer boundary of the cell with a layer made of phospholipids.
DNA is a double polymer of nucleotides that store genetic information. DNA stands for
Deoxyribonucleic Acid with a phosphate group of four nitrogenous bases which are adenine,
cytosine, guanine, and thymine. The largest organelle is the nucleus. The nucleus contains DNA.
The mitochondria have a double membrane and it is known for supplying energy to the cell.
Ribosomes produce proteins. These ribosomes can be found in the cytosol of cells. The nucleolus
is what makes ribosomes and RNA. Lysosomes have digestive enzymes. The endoplasmic
reticulum is an inner membrane system that makes some proteins. (Cundy, 2012) There are two
endoplasmic reticulum, one is rough and the other is smooth. The rough endoplasmic reticulum has
ribosomes on it while the smooth endoplasmic reticulum does not have ribosomes on them. The
Golgi apparatus prepares proteins to be taken out of the cell. The vacuole is storage for water and
other nutrients a call may need and this is most commonly found in plant cells. The cytoskeleton
shapes the cell wall and consists of protein

You hear a lot of stories over the tortoise and the hare when you are young, but have you ever
stopped to look at the meaning behind the story other than as a mean bunny get what he deserved
for being too confident. The writer of these stories had a certain mean behind the story which is
that you need to slow down in life and take everything in and it will come to you. Aesop, the fable
teller, that is a title we hear often . He presents fables for children with a moral behind it. Still to
this day no one really knows his true life story , but we know of his fables. How do we know that
they are his fables? maybe we give this person credit for something he has not done. One of his
very inspirational stories was made into a painting it is called... Show more content on

39. Essay On 1960s Religion
The 1960s was a rapid, evolutionary new burst in religious change. People during this era ignored
their parents and grandparents values, and made their own. This caused a dramatic decrease in
churchgoing numbers, and christian values in the south. These changes can be connected with the
direction the world was going. Politics, mobility, and great leadership had a huge impact on the
religionof the 1960s. After this period, Christians still, even today, try to return the values of
traditionalism (Matthews).
The politics of the time brought great change, president John F. Kennedy, was the first Catholic
president of the United states. The mobility of the times brought new ideas to the American south,
and denounced protestant thought. The immigration of 1965 opened the U.S. up to massive
immigration. Many immigrants from all over Asia came to America during this time bringing their
ancient religions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have never been a believer of fundamental values and interpreting the bible literally. However,
religion is so deeply stained into the fabric of the south, I can not imagine a south without the
strong influence of religion it has. It is amusing to me, that we can not agree on one united
church. We are so different in our faiths, everywhere you look here has a church with its own
unique faiths. I do not know why, but I feel like religion gave the southern people a sense of
righteousness during the 1960s. I feel like the southern people knew their God would have wanted
them separate from blacks, and try to block out the rest of worlds changes from changing the South.
We try to instill these religious values in our culture I think to try and keep morals and values alive.
Except, humans do not need religion to know the difference between right or wrong. Without the
reevaluation of southern identity during the 1960s, the reevaluation may have not turned out the
way it

40. Biological And Trait Perspectives On The Human Personality
Biological and Trait Perspectives and Explanations of Neuroticism Two perspectives on the
human personality will be explained in the following two sections. The first perspective is the
biological perspective of personality. This perspective focuses largely on the internal genetic
makeup of an individual and the effects this has on his or her personality. The biological
perspective is strongly based on other scientific fields in laboratory or clinical conditions such as
biology and biochemistry. The biological perspective involves intricate and often time consuming
scientific experiments to test for personality traits and correlations. Evolution is sometimes also
mentioned within the biological perspective in sociobiology. The structure and function of the
brain (neurobiology) is also central to the biological theory of personality. The second perspective
to be mentioned is the trait perspective of personality. According to Costa and McCrae,
examination of the trait theory of personality is required for someone to make sense of the human
personality (1998). Two ideas are central to the trait perspective of personality: A person s
behaviors, contemplations, and emotions are relatively stable in varying situations and with time,
and each individual personality is different from all other personalities (Carver Sheier, 2012). The
trait perspective asserts that personalities are made up of various traits that vary in degrees of
strength. These traits are exemplified on a

42. Ache vs Ama Code of Ethics
ACHE v. AMA Codes of Ethics
ACHE v. AMA Codes of Ethics The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Code
of Ethics is a list of principles set forth to guide healthcare executives in their daily practice. The
Code of Ethics clearly defines the behavior and performance standards required by those
performing the duties of healthcare executives. The ACHE Code of Ethics is designed in a way that
clearly directs healthcare executives in their interactions with patients, employees, and the
community. The ACHE Code of Ethics also clearly defines the responsibilities of the healthcare
executive to the profession of healthcare management and also the responsibilities of the healthcare
executive to the organization, as well as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Code of Ethics defines the behavior standards with which physicians must comply. The AMA
Code of Ethics is designed as a concise document outlining the basic duties and responsibilities of
physicians. One of the major areas of strength of the AMA Code of Ethics is the principle that
outlines that the physician must regard responsibility to the patient as paramount (American
Medical Association, n.d., par. 9). This principle outlines that importance of putting the patient
first in all care aspects when working with a patient. Along with this, other principles set forth in
the AMA Code of Ethics, while involving other aspects of care, state that the rights of the
patient shall be acknowledged and followed during patient care. It is very important that
healthcare codes of ethics are clear in defining that the patient needs to be considered first and
foremost. A weakness of the AMA Code of Ethics is concise nature of the document. While
concise can also be regarded as a strength, the concise nature of this Code of Ethics is a
disadvantage, as it does not allow for more clear definitions of the ethical principles. For example,
the principle stating that physicians shall support access to medical care for everyone does not
outline the ways in which physicians should do this or provide any guidance. It seems as though
more guidance could be provided with a more
