Each stage has its own developmental task, unique to each individual experience, that must be faced
and resolved in order to achieve healthy outcomes. For Dominica, her mother would constantly ask
her to fetch things for her (i.e. soup, matches, chocolate milk, etc.), which would distract Domenica

The continued reliance on fossil fuels over the centuries has led to these resources being almost
completely exhausted. Furthermore, their use has had extremely negative effects on the environment,

Between the years 1939 and 1945, the Allies and the Axis Powers were fighting World War II. The
Nazis were steadily rising into power and began the slow first acts of what would later be known as

Physics in Bow and Arrow Shooting
When people think of shooting a bow they may think of back in time when the Indians used to shoot
their longbows. When you look at it from that perspective it seems like bows are such a simple piece
of equipment. Unless you ve really sat down and looked at a compound bow you wouldn t understand
that there can be so many parts to make it function properly. For example, the string moving at such a
high rate of speed to launch the arrow, then comes to a complete stop in just a fraction of a second
with very minimal vibration. How does that not tear something up?
There are several key parts to know that is on a compound bow: cam, limbs, string, and riser.
A cam is what makes the difference between a plain recurve and a compound bow. A cam is a
particular object at the top and bottom of a bow that rotates as you pull the string of the bow back.
Now why are cams such a big advancement to that of a recurve? Cams allow bows to shoot higher feet
per second and allow the arrow to have more kinetic energy, thus make the arrow travel faster and
further, and penetrate deeper into the object you are shooting.
With the invention of cams, came the very helpful let off. Unlike recurves, compounds have
specifically shaped cams to allow for let off. This means, when you are drawing back your bow it is

Debord believes it came about due to its monopolization over these representations. With its control
over representations, a spectacle can essentially control its own image, causing a passive acceptance
(theory 12) by the people due to its appearance as a good thing. However, the reason why Debord

The Importance Of Parent And Family Involvement In Education
There are many issues discussed when it comes to education including testing, school accountability,
teacher proficiency, and much more. There are many initiatives, programs, and reforms being
implemented to try to improve education outcomes for students. While the school, administration, and
teachers are an important part of student education, there is also another vital item needed to
encourage and ensure student learning: parent or family involvement in their child s education.
There are countless positive associations between parent and family engagement and student academic
confidence and success. Many organizations, including the National Parent Teacher Alliance (PTA)
and Parents for Public Schools (PPS), work to encourage parents and families take on an active role in
supporting and reinforcing their child s education. The PTA website gives many parent guides to
support and direct engagement. Their guide Making Sure Your Child Gets the Education They
Deserve advises parents to have high expectations of school buildings and equipment as well as
initiate and maintain strong contact with their child s teacher (pta.org). The PPS websites gives similar
advice to parents and families stating, School success takes great leadership, effective teachers and
engaged parents. We believe that parents are an essential education partner from the moment their
children are born (2017).
