If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine it is lethal (Paulo Coelho). I d always liked to travel
but not as much anymore. September 16, 2007 was the most chaotic day of my life. I was 12 years old
when we left Iran. Know let me tell you the events leading you to that day. My parents decide that we
should move to the United State so that way we would be closer to the rest of our family. Okay, now
to the day before chaos began.
Like any other day I woke up and did what most people do in the morning; get dressed and eat. Two of
my dad s friends had come over to help my dad take our luggage to the airport a day before so we didn
t have too much things with us. I remember we were all sitting in the living room and my younger
sister, 7 at the time that just gotten up and walked into the living room with her pajamas on. She had
gotten so scared when she say that we that company over. Her face was so red from embarrassment I
died laughing, I m a good sister, won t you say.
My dad left with his friends to go to the airport. My mom and sister and I went down stairs to our
neighbor s house. Pretty much the last few weeks, we ate eating delicious savory Armenian barbecue.
Since it was the last day we had barbecue with our neighbors. By lunch time my dad had already
gotten home from the airport. My sister, dad, and our neighbor s husband were down in the garage

On way out I fired up the laptop and picked up a free wi fi connection at the Murtala Muhammad
airport, so I kept myself busy for the hour and half wait for my flight, I can go on and on.
The laptops of today are very powerful so the difference in power between a laptop and desktop is

Cognitive development advances gradually during infancy. Bilingual infants have often been treated
as a special population with unique advantages or disadvantages as compared to monolinguals. A
recent collection of studies has demonstrated advantages in infants exposed to two languages,
however the specificity of this advantage remains unclear (Singh et al., 2015; Brito Barr, 2013).
Although, one component such as memory can show a hallmark of an infant s flexibility in
development. Summarized in this paper are two studies in which researchers investigated whether or
not bilingual infants have a cognitive advantage. With comparisons between monolinguals and
bilinguals both studies reveal a bilingual advantage in cognitive control. The studies utilized two
different methods, the visual habituation procedure and the deferred imitation of memory retrieval.
Taken together, the studies evaluated how bilingualism may be correlated to a general enhancement of
the cognitive control system.

There has been substantial amount of empirical research done on bilingual infants in which researches
have come up with the term bilingual advantage. Previous studies conducted have shown advantages
