Removing Class Rank
Removing Class Rank Through your high school years you are judged on every test, every homework
assignment and every group discussion. After the hard working student who received their senior year
their GPA and find that because of their ranking they can not go to the school of their dreams because
they failed to achieve the top ten percent of their class, that makes their work in school worth
anything. However ranking is rather antiquated, it is just a number. Class rank doesn t always take into
consideration the type of class, the type of effort that the student put into their class work and the extra
intangibles that help make up that student. Some intangibles that are not shown up on the sheet that is
submitted to college is the type of person behind a name and a number. An example of this is the rigor
of courses that students can take. Based on a 4.0 GPA scale a student who takes all AP courses and
receives a B in each course and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It removes the healthy competition that is true is vital for young adults to experience in school because
they will be experiencing it for the rest of their lives in the workforce and in school. Competition
breeds success those who raise to the challenge are going to reap the fruits of its labor. However the
problems with competition and why it can be bad for students is that it promotes stress which is
unavoidable for those wanting to challenge their peers. With the desire to be the best it can promote an
unhealthy relationship with school work because it is not viewed as something to improve knowledge
it is only viewed as a way to be better than someone and the stress that comes with the desire to be
better and complete assignments are often met by counselors who said they downplay the competition
and try to encourage students to take time to breathe, to release their brain and explore other

Amino Acids Affecting Chicken s Proteins
Before the body can use the chicken s protein to build and repair tissues, the large molecules of
protein are converted into the smaller molecules amino acids through digestion via enzymes. Amino
acids are absorbed into the bloodstream from the absorptive lining of the small intestine and
transported throughout your body. The carbohydrates of the rice are broken down, by the enzymes
lactase and maltase into the sugars fructose and glucose, and also absorbed by the small intestine
lining. Once the amino acids and sugars have been absorbed by the mucosa of the small intestine, they
are passed on into tiny blood vessels, which lead to the Hepatic Portal Vein. Water and water soluble
vitamins (vitamins B, B6, B12, C) are also absorbed at this time along with the carbohydrates and
proteins. The Hepatic Portal Vein then transports these nutrients to the liver. ... Show more content on

Then the enzyme lipase goes into action breaking down these fat molecules into fatty acids and
glycerides. At this point the broken down molecules are absorbed into the intestinal lining by
epithelial cells. The micelles are then covered in a mixture of lipids and proteins and called
lipoproteins. The micelles also pick up and combine with fat soluble vitamins (Vitamins A) at this
time. These lipoproteins are then transported into the nearest lymphatic vessel via the thoracic duct,
which transports fats up to the subclavian vein in the neck where they then enter the bloodstream and
are transported to the

The Sociological Theories Of Sociology
1. What is Sociology and who was the founder of Sociology? When and how did Sociology emerge as
a field of study?
Sociology is study of the human society by observing and doing experiment. Sociology is mainly
study in two ways; basic/pure and applied. Auguste Comte was the founder of sociology. Sociology
was emerged as a field of study during the 1920s and 1930s. It becomes field of study because people
started to observe a lot of things on a society such as: inequality, discrimination, poorness and many
more. So, people started to use their theory to study about the societies in terms of sociology.

4. What are the 5 steps in the scientific research process?
First step of the scientific research process is to develop a research question. It means, researchers
need to decide the topic they are interested to study. They also need to get fund for their research
project on first steps to make their research success. Second step is, researchers need to design their
research based on what they are going study. Their third step is to collect the data by doing interviews,
surveys and web searches. Fourth step is to analyze and organize the data to discover patterns. Fifth
step is to make conclusions of research. After developing strong conclusions, they can imply it on
broader populations.
5. What are the 6 tools of research and give an example for each?
The 6 tools of research are: survey research, participant observation, controlled experiments, content
analysis, historical research and evaluation research. One example of survey research is to ask general
questions based on their research topic by going people s home door to door. Example of participant
observation is researchers hanging out several times with the peoples related to their research topic.
Example of controlled experiments is to determine cause and effect of research, then decide to expose
or not to expose the information on out. Example of content analysis is to verify the data based on

The Ibo Culture Of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart
Cultures each have their own set of beliefs and morals and quite often these beliefs and morals vary
greatly between each culture. Commonly, a culture has its own rules for women. The Ibo culture of
Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart is one that gives its women power. They get their power through
their roles as mothers and their contributions to their religion. Great power is also given to the women
through the parts they play in agriculture for the clan. The women in Ibo society are misunderstood
when their own African culture is compared to modern Western culture. The power given to the Ibo
women, in the form of motherhood, is often overlooked due to the comparison, whereas by the Ibo,
women are viewed as the foundation of the clan and its people (Hiatt). The women play educator in
the Ibo villages. They pass on the morals, beliefs, and stories of the clan. This means that the women
are pivotal to the literal survival of the community and social norms (Strong Leek). It would be true to
say that women in Western society also have this power; however, the power is not to the same degree.
The Ibo women are viewed mainly as child bearers (Strong Leek), therefore the Ibo children spend
nearly all of their early childhood moments with their mothers. The lack of significant outside
interaction means that these mothers control nearly all aspects of their children s development. The
mothers share stories that teach important lessons about the human condition (Hiatt) which

Identity In Walt Whitman s From Song Of Myself
Author Walt Whitman wrote a poem called From Song Of Myself , where he discusses all the things in
life that surround him, and how his identity is reflected. His poem is mainly focused on him and his
enjoyment in life. I celebrate myself, and sing myself... (488). This quote starts his poem in a joyful
mood, where the reader is ready to embark on his reasoning of why he celebrates himself. However,
there is a pattern where the tone goes from light and cheerful to being dull and dark. In one stanza he
proclaims Houses and rooms are full of perfumes...I breathe the fragrance myself and know i like it
(488), then the next stanza he states The atmosphere is not a perfume, it has no taste of distillation..
(488). There is an obvious change in

Summary Of The Playlist
The playlist had about a dozen videos, and there were two themes. The first was gorgeous women
with shaved pussies having them lovingly licked by some hot guy. In fact, this was very similar to the
cock adoration part of the blowjob playlist, only with the woman being the lucky recipient. I wrote
down shave pussy/offer to Corey s tongue.
The next part of this playlist was the most aggressive in the entire collection, and it surprised me. It
was a few videos of a woman kneeling above a man s head while grinding her pussy on his tongue and
face. My hubby loved face sitting! I had to smile. This, too, I could totally do. In every video, the
woman grabbed the guy by the hair and pulled his mouth against her pussy. I will totally do that.

This was a position that we both loved, and that would always be special for us. I didn t need to make
it any more special than it was. That said, I was really horny for Corey right then. All those beautiful
bodies fucking and licking and sucking. I had already had two orgasms. I logged out, went to the
shower, and decided to have one more.
I looked at my list. I smiled at the line I wanted to do first: Cock adoration. My research and put me
three orgasms ahead. I would cross that item off my list and let Corey catch up. The second day of
Christmas was turning out to be a lot of fun.
Corey was in the shower, and I couldn t stop myself from laughing. I kept thinking over the stupid
name I gave the night cock adoration. It sounded so porny. But, at the same time, it was kind of
perfect. I was dressing up in my little black dress. I had make up on, and I had done my hair. Why? All
so I could look glamorous as I did nothing more than focus all my attention on my husband s cock.
To kind of pull myself back to the task at hand, I opened up the pornfolio site on my phone and
watched one of the blowjob videos. One of the things I loved was how the woman would use her
mouth without her hands at times. The guy s cock would twitch up as she kissed or licked it. I loved
that.
I heard the shower turn off. I closed the browser on my phone, and with a wicked smile on my face, I
pushed the door to the bathroom open without knocking.

Family Planning Methods
Many women in developing countries do not have access to services like family planning, antenatal
care and delivery by a trained personnel (WHO, 2007). For example, in a country like Uganda, only
30 percent of married women from the age of 15 to 49 use modern family planning methods (Salwa
Bitar McKenzie Lamborne, 2014).
Low rates of maternal health service utilisation in sub Saharan Africa have also been attributed to the
unequal gender relations arising from religious beliefs, teachings and practices and cultural influences
(Katherine Marshall, 2013; UNAIDS, 2014; International Community of women living with

healthcare, there is need for strong partnership between the public health care sector and the private
sector particularly FBOs (Gill Z. et al., 2008; Widmer M et al. 2011; Gill Z et al. 2008). It is against

developing countries.
The provision of maternal health care in developing countries.
There is a need to clarify the use of the terms state and government and Public Sector. The concepts

at international, national, regional and local levels . An exception is when the texts make reference to
specific governments, which disassociates the terms from each other.

Also, EMT paramedics should make way more money because they do a dangerous job that saves

of an amount of money, but if it is a family of six and an EMT paramedic is the only one working in

career, but when I learned that the people who saved my life do not even make, on average, fifteen

The first letter opens with R. Walton informing his sister that he is safe in St. Petersburgh. From the
first page of Walton s writing I can see that his relationship with his sister is very close; from the
language of his writing I can see that he truly cares about the person who is to receive his letter. On
the 2nd page of his letter he states that going to the North Pole has been an aspiration for him since he
was young. It states that Walton is a glory seeker and is not tempted when money is a sacrifice for
glory. His 2nd letter addressed to his sister takes place in Archangel where he has hired a vessel and is

embodies feeling and attitude. I predict that the monster was motivated to kill William not because he
enjoyed murder but because he wanted to get Victor s attention. Because the monster has never been
in contact with humans it knows no other way of getting a person s attention. The result of this murder
was a false accusation of a girl, which ended up in capital punishment for the innocent girl. The only

Essay On The Second Amendment
How can the original writing and intent of the second amendment, be relevant in our society today?
The history of the second amendment and the laws that have come after are significant, dating back to
1971, when the Bill of Rights was ratified to the Constitution. The Bill of Rights is a list of
amendments that gives rights to individuals and limits government power. The second amendment
states A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to
keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. So, the original writing and intent of the second
amendment was geared to militia and military only, and it did not address a specific type of weapon.
The second amendments intent for individual Americans did not come into question until 1822. A
Kentucky court case indicted a man for carrying a sword concealed in a cane. The man was fined
$100.00. But it wasn t until 1856, that the second amendment was affirmed by the US Supreme Court,
that the ownership of a gun was extended to individuals as a right.

happiness, considers as wasted. The definition of Utilitarianism is the ethical doctrine that virtue is
based on utility, and that conduct should be directed toward promoting the greatest happiness of the
greatest number of people. So how does Mill s words and the definition relate back to the second
amendment? The original intent of the second amendment worked in the beginning, as the militia was
the only form of protection that we had to do the greatest amount of good for the most amount of
people, with the least amount of pain. The right to bear arms also worked with duty, as those who
served out of a sense of duty to their country, required that form of protection to do their

The Good and Evil of Humans Essay
The Good and Evil of Humans
A famous philosopher Socrates once said, the unexamined life is not worth living. With that idea, the
question Are Human Beings Intrinsically Evil? has been asked by philosophers for many years. It is
known as one of the unanswerable questions. Determinists have come to the conclusion that we are
governed by the laws of science, that there is nothing we can do about ourselves being evil because we
naturally are. Evil is simply the act of causing pain. In this essay I will argue that human beings are
born with a natural reaction to fear and chaos to be instinctively evil.
The primary evidence that people are generally evil is evident by the number of wars. Most countries

One night after one of the boys got upset with their teacher decided to bring his gang to beat him up.
The teenagers were never provoked to take such drastic measures as to kill, and had no intention to
actually kill. But the leader of the gang, who had a gun, shot him in an area he thought could not kill
him, but it did. This did not happen necessarily because the boy was afraid, but it the heat of the
moment and the chaos around him, he did. Another example of evil in youth culture is the youth gangs
in California. Young men of 2 different gangs were isolated from their community. They began to
make their own rules, which lead to things getting out of control. The mentality of these gangs
becomes ?this is how we must be to survive and that we must fight to survive?. In most cases, people
that have the opportunity to have a good education and raised in decent family make the choice to
make their lives chaotic with violence. Others that are raised in a chaotic community do not have
much choice. Youth culture are very easily influenced by their communities once they become in a
chaotic community, it becomes disastrous for the community and to themselves.
Literature for many years has described human nature as being evil once they fear something or are in
a chaotic situation. In William Golding?s novel ?Lord of the Flies? which describes horrific exploits
of a group of young boys who make a transition from civilized to barbaric. Golding

The Justice And Restorative Justice
Punishment is not necessarily the answer for young offenders, as crime is a gesture for help in many
cases, and punishment focused approaches don t allow young individuals the chance to understand the
implications of their actions through a victim s perspective (Choi, Green, and Gilbert 337). Policies
and practices for youths need to fulfill more than entrapment and punishment, providing rationale for
restorative justice (337). Crimes committed by young individuals are often minor, first time acts which
can be mediated and addressed through the proactive administration of restorative rehabilitation,
which often prevents recidivism. Restorative justice is a process where all parties involved in a
particular offense come together in order to collectively resolve the aftermath and future implications
of the specific crime (Roche 343). Restorative justice is the the ideal response for the majority of
youth involved in criminal activity, as it s a rehabilitative method that produces positive healing
processes and outcomes, especially in comparison to retributive justice approaches.
Martin Wright explains that restorative justice involves a fundamental change in the response a society
has towards individuals who harm one another. Wright elaborates that this terminology shifts the
meaning of crime, stressing the fact that people are harmed, rather than a crime was broken (Wright
216). This highlights the ultimate source of restorative justice, and its strong relationship with

Audrey Hepburn s Lasting Impact On World War II
Audrey Hepburn, born in 1929, made a lasting impact on World War II. During the war Hepburn s
mother moved her family to the Netherlands where she believed that their family would be kept safe
since it was a neutral country. Despite what Hepburn s mother thought, the Nazis invaded. The Nazis
cut off food supplies starving their family and millions of others; due to this malnourishment, causing
her to have a slender figure that later was envied by many. Due to children s innocence they would be
given the task of carrying money and papers to different groups of the resistance. Hepburn was a
strong advocate for the resistance, since her uncle was killed by the Nazis, one of her brothers was in a
labor camp, and the other brother was in hiding.

The Dehumanization And Consequences Of Slave Codes In America
Slaves were forced to work in the colonies and already had very limited freedom, but to make it worse
slave codes was then created. Slave codes were biased laws created by the English colonies and soon
later enforced to the American English colonies. Sometimes slave codes would differ from state to
state. It restricted African Americans rights whether they were free or not. Even if an African
American was free, they weren t truly free because of the restrictions of the slave codes. Colonists
pride themselves needing to be the more dominant and supreme person. Slave codes were tightened
after every slave rebellion, in effort to prevent them from escaping and diminishing the chance of it
happening again. The slave codes became an obstacle that enslaved African Americans faced, taking
their opportunity away to expand, improved their population as well as their culture. Slave codes
stripped enslaved African Americans of their identity, making them forget where they came from or
belong. The slave codes stole their voice, replacing it with the colonists ignorance and complete
dominance over African Americans. The slave codes became a depiction of the dehumanization,
humiliation, and the psychological damage of subjugated slaves. Although the constitution has wrote
in fine print that all men are created equal, the slave codes have proven the statement wrong in
placement of stating some are tortured because of their ethnicity. Slave codes affected anyone who had

Gandhi Servant Leadership
In the contemporary world, the application of servant leadership by individuals and organizations may
be similar or vary significantly depending on the cultural and religious backgrounds. That is for sure
because the Western culture and Christianity execution of servant leadership may have similarities or
differences with other cultures and religious affiliations respectively. Primarily, the global servant
leader of interest in this discussion is Mahatma Gandhi, who demonstrates servant leadership through
the humanitarian work he accomplished in his lifetime.
Despite the differences in cultural and religious backgrounds between the Western Culture and
Mahatma Gandhi s Indian culture, similarities in servant leadership execution are apparent. A case in
point of such similarity of servant leadership application is the humanistic aspect that both Western
Culture and Christian servant leaders, as well as Mahatma Gandhi, demonstrate in their execution of
servant leadership. That is for sure because Mahatma Gandhi invested in his followers needs as well
as supporting, encouraging and inspiring them. All of these aspects demonstrate servant leadership

Gandhi adopted peaceful campaigns in his pursuit of fighting for human rights for the oppressed as

Review Of Amazing Night With Logan
I had been about two weeks since Lexi had gone to the doctors and had experienced that amazing
night with Logan. She was about three days late for her period now and had just come back from the
store, a pregnancy test in hand. Now she was anxiously awaiting the results. She bit her lip, looking in
the mirror. What if she really was pregnant? How would Logan react? Would he be happy or mad?
Lexi really wanted a baby, to start her own family, especially with Logan. The test suddenly dinged
and Lexi picked it up excitedly. It was positive! I m going to have a baby! Lexi squealed in delight.
She was about to run out of the bathroom and find Logan to tell him the good news when she
suddenly realized that he was out of the house for the day. She sighed softly and decided to wait until
he got home. She wanted to tell him in person.
Logan had woken up early. He looked over at Lexi, still sleeping before kissing her forehead gently,
trying not to wake her. He got dressed quietly before walking over to the nightstand and scribbling a
note. Have to do some errands today. Should be back around lunch time, I ll bring back some food! I ll
miss you. Stay beautiful!
Love Logan
Logan placed the note where he knew she would find it when she woke up before leaving the
bedroom. He grabbed a quick bite to eat before he heard his phone buzz. It was Noah.
Hey. I m outside. U rdy?
Logan quickly texted back.
Yep. Heading down now.

A Brief Note On Executive Compensation And Non Monetary...
The term compensation refers to all forms of financial returns and tangible benefits that employees
receive in exchange for their time, talents, efforts, performance, and results (Bernardin, 2013).
Executive compensation is defined as the financial payments and non monetary benefits provided to
high level management in exchange for their work on behalf of an organization. The types of
employees that are typically paid with executive compensation packages include corporate presidents,
chief executive officers, chief financial officers, vice presidents, managing directors, and other senior
executives (Business Dictionary.com, 2016). Executive compensation is an aspect of business that
every major corporation, company, and organization has to manage. Although every major
organization or company utilizes some form of executive compensation, it may differ greatly from one
company to the next. Proper management of executive compensation is vital to the success and
progress of companies, corporations and organizations because of the impact that disbursement of
such high pay and benefits have on the financial status of any business and its shareholders.
The structure of compensation is important because it can help to create an outline on how managers
can effectively run companies and create value for shareholders. Pay packages and other benefits
should give high level executives incentives to run companies correctly and efficiently. It should also
make executives think in the long

Peanut Butter Cup American Culture
Since 1928, the H. B. Reese company s been making the irresistible combination of chocolate and

ice creams, and other desserts and treats. They re familiar... there s something instinctively American

The Black Death
Black death was one of few diseases which cause traumatizing effect on the European society during
the Middle Ages and that impact urged the Europeans to make a revolutionary progress in their lives
and medicine. During the Middle Ages, the Black Death has impacted Europe by killing off the
majority population that Europe originally possessed. The doctor at the time were working off their

These factors lead into the research question of this essay, how did the Black Death during the middle

First, I will introduce the Middle Ages society and its functioning. First of all, a Middle Ages society
is one very unique because they have the feudal system introduced to by the Norman conqueror
William in 1066 and he was able to develop the feudal system and became widely used in Europe.
This is one of the key points why there were many kingdoms in the continent of Europe because they
are capable of self supporting and was able to keep the manor system stable and have their own
economic system. Now, the manor system works like this: the king or the ruler is the highest class of
all and owns the land of the entire kingdom and the king gave land and protection for military service,
labor, and loyalty. The nobles, whom was given land by the king and that they own everything one the
land given to them and promises that they will in return offer the king loyalty and service. The vassals

Most casualties and deaths in the Civil War were the result of non combat related disease. For every
three soldiers killed in battle, five more died of disease. The primitive nature of Civil War medicine,
both in its intellectual underpinnings and in its practice in the armies, meant that many wounds and
illnesses were unnecessarily fatal.
Our modern conception of casualties includes those who have been psychologically damaged by
warfare. This distinction did not exist during the Civil War. Soldiers suffering from what we would

How The Virginia State Statue Of Anti Miscegenation And...
For years there have been forbidden love and marriage in the history of the United States, I decided to
write a reflection on my thoughts views, fact findings and information regarding biracial marriages
and segregation laws that were discriminatory in history. I read the short story about the Loving family
and their pursuit to the Supreme Court in 1967, I thought of my own family history and realized that
my paternal grandparents would ve been prosecuted had they lived in Virginia or any other state that
prohibited bi racial marriages in the 1900s.
My grandfather was an Irish man and my grandmother was a Native American Crow Creek
Dakotah/HoChunk woman, luckily they weren t victims of the injustice that has happened, doesn t
mean they didn t fight their own battles against prejudice and discrimination but they weren t
convicted of any crimes for their decision to marry and have a bi racial a.k.a, half breed family.
I chose to write about how the Virginia State Statue of Anti Miscegenation in 1924 directly violated
the Fourteenth Amendment. The Fourteenth Amendment is such a powerful part of the Constitution
because it protects minority rights and recognizes us as true citizens of the United States.
My ancestors, like many others have been exposed to disease purposely, tortured, sexually abused,
physically beaten, mutilated, raped, sexually abused/tortured, starved, and forced to give up their way
of life (language, culture and beliefs)before being forced to

Stump s Account Of Love
Love Sumps account of Love. Stump begins her discussion on the nature of love by firstly making it

important to know as she goes on to contrast his view with more contemporary ones. I will analyze her
arguments and discussions as to why she is correct in offering Aquinas account as the best that we
have available to us. I will mainly focus on her telling of Aquinas account of love and will contrast it
with what she writes about Kolodny s and the other accounts that she mentions in her chapter..
Stump begins by talking about the responsiveness account of love: On one account, love is a response
of the lover to qualities he perceives and values in the beloved. On this way of thinking about love,
there are intrinsic characteristics of the beloved person that are especially attractive to the lover, whose
love is engendered in him by these characteristics. So there is a reason for the love the lover has for
his beloved, and that is the set of characteristics that the lover finds so valuable in the beloved (Stump

nonrelational feature that she has. We see from this statement that is is suggested the Kolodny s reason

is due to past encounters and interactions that fosters the love for someone. Kolodny offers his

How Can Abuse Cause Relationship Problems In The Future...
Can abuse cause relationship problems in the future for our loved ones? Abuse is the destroyer of
young people s faith and most of the time it causes long term mental problems. There are many types
of abuses. Many women and children are affected every day. Most of the causes affect your body.
Physical effects are as simple as having clothing that are worn and torn to shreds, having bad odor
coming from your skin and/or your breath. Another type of physical abuse can be shown by being
tested for sexually transmitted diseases and showing up positive for any type of the disease. Many
women and children are the first victims, because they are more vulnerable and unable to fight. Men
are also known to be victims, but rarely. Men are more known to be the suspects in these types of
abuses. Everyone is at some point picked to be the victims to an unbearably harsh abuse that may or
may not be easy to get away from. There is no answer when you may be picked. Health issues that are
being affected in the brain and the way you functions are considered to be called mental health.

mind you shelter yourself from people, enjoy being in the dark and sometimes cry. In a controlling

Listeria monocytogenes is a dangerous bacterium capable of contaminating food products if not

are used in the production of R.T.E food products. 38 Furthermore, the definition of R.T.E foods was

monocytogenes and a more detailed list of foods prone to contamination. 39 This policy revision also

specifically the infants, pregnant women and the elderly. 40 This aspect of the 2011 policy decision

aging members of society. 41 The majority of European cases have been attributed to elderly
population, as they are exceedingly prone to becoming ill. Therefore, this provided even more need to

Social Class in Jane Austen
Throughout this essay , I will be looking at the theme of social class in Jane Austen s work ; critically
analysed by Juliet McMaster, a chapter taken from The Cambridge Companion to Jane Austen , edited
by Edward Copeland and Juliet McMaster. Jane Austen s novels at first glance tell a story of romance,
set within the landowning society amidst country estates, and their cultivation of tea parties, social
outings, and extravagant balls; ladies frolicking in flowing gowns through decorated rooms, and men
deliberating over their game of whist. The storybook romance usually unfolds in these familiar
settings, and inevitably involves the conflict of two lovers separated by differences in social class, and

This system unfairly gives privilege to one family member by giving him /her everything, for the
preservation of the family name and the estate throughout the generations. Hence the five Longbourn
girls are to be turned out upon their father s death, since the estate is entailed to Mr. Collins. Charles
Bingley is the most we witness of social mobility. He is a gentleman who lives a lavish life, and whose
money was acquired by trade . He walks in his father s footsteps, and once married to Jane, he does
buy an estate. This means that the next generation will be a step upwards in their social ladder. His
sisters on the other hand are status and power hungry and are proud and conceited . Darcy, rebutes,
very realistically that the Bennet sisters connection with trade, will prove to be an obstacle to their
happiness and will lessen their chance of marrying men of prestige. The quality of humans is judged
by moral and humane standards. Charlotte Lucas chooses to marry the pompous Mr. Collins, not for
love but it is simply a marriage of convenience, in which she is the one finding it convenient. Through
this Jane Austen presents the bleak and futile existence of women, as well as the happier outcome, of
the heroine who finds fulfillment in marrying the man she loves. The servants in Jane Austen s novels
represent the poor working class. The poor are seldom mentioned, except through Lady Catherine s
scolding of degradation. Human worth should

High-Stakes Testing in American Schools Essay
The NCLB Act has obligated the government to find a way to keep track of progress, which, in their
minds, is administering high stakes tests. High stakes testing is scrutinized all the time, since some
believe it is the only indicator of tracking students and teachers. They seemed to have been ridiculed
by many and favored by few; nonetheless there are significant disparities in the public s and
government s opinion. According to Dunne (2000), Tests aren t just tests anymore at least not high
stakes tests, which are being used in some states to determine which students stay back a grade, which
high school seniors receive diplomas, which teachers get bonuses, and more. The National Education
Association (NEA) does not believe one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inequitable consequences that teachers and administrators would have to bare are uncalled for.
These exams generate pessimistic attitudes that become contagious and infect the educational
environment. Extensive research shows that students who are held back do not progress academically,
suffer a loss of self esteem, and are more likely to drop out of school, according to FairTest (2008).
Each year more and more states are requiring exit exams in order to receive a diploma. These forms of
high stakes tests seem to be more idealistic for schools across the U.S. as they begin to adopt and
modify them. Exit exams have brought about many lawsuits throughout the country though, since they
deny students who fail a high school diploma. Many say that the exams are not impartial and that they
discriminate against English language learners, minority students, special education students, and
economically disadvantaged students. All in all the exit exams do serve a more meaningful purpose
than other forms of high stakes tests.
According to Urbina (2010), exit exams have facilitated for educators to locate deficiencies in their
curricula and brought about clearer guidelines. Also, they invigorate students to share the
responsibility of their academic achievement, since students become more serious about them.
Politicians want to abolish the stigma a high school diploma currently carries and win back

The main theme is humans can find it emotionally difficult to conform to society, but usually end up
doing so. The meaning of this theme is that we all want to do things that are practical to society even
if it feels wrong in our hearts. The main driving component which draws people too conformity are the
desire to be accepted in certain status groups. People fear that if they do not conform to society, they
will be breaking the social contract, therefore be rejected by society at not being able to achieve their

This individual believes that lies would destroy friendships and lives of others. This relates to the topic
because when we conform to society, we become dishonest with ourselves. We lie about our feelings
and emotions to do what is expected. In the poem it says lying could really hurt a person inside.
However, by becoming truthful and showing our true self could also hurt us because by doing so, we
could be judged and talked about in a negative light. Leah Silverman s Lenses tells the story of a
young surgeon, Corinne, who is asked to replace the vivid eyes of a friend with two round, steel
lenses. She finds herself in a difficult situation where she must decide whether or not to go through
with the operation, risking ruining her friend s depth and character. The overall message of the story is
that the people are made as unique individuals. The story emphasizes how the eyes contribute to the
individuality and beauty of a person, and the fact that nothing can replace them. This relates to the
theme because as people try to fit into society, they start to change and become someone they are not.
It is important to know the significance of being unique because it tells so much about our character

Sonnet 130 by William Shakespeare and Valentine by Carol...
The two poems Sonnet 130 and Valentine present similar ideas about love, though they are written
centuries apart. Sonnet 130 (written by William Shakespeare) is like a love poem turned on its head.
Instead of describing her in a positive light, he criticise her physical features. He describes the flaws of
her body, her smell, even the sound of her voice. Then, at the end, he changes his tune and tells us
about his real and complete love for her. Valentine (written by Carol Ann Duffy) describes a gift for a
lover; such as you would give on Valentine s Day. It is a rather unusual present an onion. The poem
explains why it is a powerful gift of love, much more than the clichéd roses or box of chocolates. The
onion becomes a metaphor for love, and so the poem is about love as well as Valentine gifts.
Both of the poems are quite cynical about the old fashioned presentation of love. The moods of the
poems portray a dark but realistic version of love and they try to tell you that you shouldn t go over
the top with love and be all lovey dovey. They both feel the physical features are not what you should
be judged on, but the characteristics and actual person itself. They are both truthful and as a result can
be quite critical and harsh in tone. Valentine shows this when Carol Ann Duffy says that the onion is a
wobbling photo of grief, she is being very blunt and trying to tell us that when you open up the onion,
it will make it cry. This is like a metaphor for the juice,

However ranking is rather antiquated, it is just a number. Class rank doesn t always take into consideration the type of class, the type of effort that the student put into their class work and the extra intangibles that help make up that student. Some intangibles that are not shown up on the sheet that is submitted to college is the type of person behind a name and a number. An example of this is the rigor of courses that students can take. • 3. Amino Acids Affecting Chicken s Proteins Before the body can use the chicken s protein to build and repair tissues, the large molecules of protein are converted into the smaller molecules amino acids through digestion via enzymes. Amino acids are absorbed into the bloodstream from the absorptive lining of the small intestine and transported throughout your body. The carbohydrates of the rice are broken down, by the enzymes lactase and maltase into the sugars fructose and glucose, and also absorbed by the small intestine lining. Once the amino acids and sugars have been absorbed by the mucosa of the small intestine, they are passed on into tiny blood vessels, which lead to the Hepatic Portal Vein. Water and water soluble vitamins (vitamins B, B6, B12, C) are also absorbed at this time along with the carbohydrates and proteins. Commonly, a culture has its own rules for women. The Ibo culture of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart is one that gives its women power. They get their power through their roles as mothers and their contributions to their religion. Great power is also given to the women through the parts they play in agriculture for the clan. The women in Ibo society are misunderstood when their own African culture is compared to modern Western culture. The power given to the Ibo women, in the form of motherhood, is often overlooked due to the comparison, whereas by the Ibo, women are viewed as the foundation of the clan and its people (Hiatt). The women play educator in the Ibo villages. They pass on the morals, beliefs, and stories of the clan. This means that the women are pivotal to the literal survival of the community and social norms (Strong Leek). It would be true to say that women in Western society also have this power; however, the power is not to the same degree. The Ibo women are viewed mainly as child bearers (Strong Leek), therefore the Ibo children spend nearly all of their early childhood moments with their mothers. In fact, this was very similar to the cock adoration part of the blowjob playlist, only with the woman being the lucky recipient. I wrote down shave pussy/offer to Corey s tongue. The next part of this playlist was the most aggressive in the entire collection, and it surprised me. It was a few videos of a woman kneeling above a man s head while grinding her pussy on his tongue and face. My hubby loved face sitting! I had to smile. This, too, I could totally do. To kind of pull myself back to the task at hand, I opened up the pornfolio site on my phone and watched one of the blowjob videos. One of the things I loved was how the woman would use her mouth without her hands at times. The guy s cock would twitch up as she kissed or licked it. I loved that. I heard the shower turn off. The history of the second amendment and the laws that have come after are significant, dating back to 1971, when the Bill of Rights was ratified to the Constitution. The Bill of Rights is a list of amendments that gives rights to individuals and limits government power. The second amendment states A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. So, the original writing and intent of the second amendment was geared to militia and military only, and it did not address a specific type of weapon. The second amendments intent for individual Americans did not come into question until 1822. A Kentucky court case indicted a man for carrying a sword concealed in a cane. The man was fined $100.00. With that idea, the question Are Human Beings Intrinsically Evil? has been asked by philosophers for many years. It is known as one of the unanswerable questions. Determinists have come to the conclusion that we are governed by the laws of science, that there is nothing we can do about ourselves being evil because we naturally are. Evil is simply the act of causing pain. In this essay I will argue that human beings are born with a natural reaction to fear and chaos to be instinctively evil. The primary evidence that people are generally evil is evident by the number of wars. Most countries have experienced their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The teenagers were never provoked to take such drastic measures as to kill, and had no intention to actually kill. But the leader of the gang, who had a gun, shot him in an area he thought could not kill him, but it did. This did not happen necessarily because the boy was afraid, but it the heat of the moment and the chaos around him, he did. Another example of evil in youth culture is the youth gangs in California. Young men of 2 different gangs were isolated from their community. They began to make their own rules, which lead to things getting out of control. The mentality of these gangs becomes ?this is how we must be to survive and that we must fight to survive?. Others that are raised in a chaotic community do not have much choice. • 17. The Justice And Restorative Justice Punishment is not necessarily the answer for young offenders, as crime is a gesture for help in many cases, and punishment focused approaches don t allow young individuals the chance to understand the implications of their actions through a victim s perspective (Choi, Green, and Gilbert 337). Policies and practices for youths need to fulfill more than entrapment and punishment, providing rationale for restorative justice (337). Crimes committed by young individuals are often minor, first time acts which can be mediated and addressed through the proactive administration of restorative rehabilitation, which often prevents recidivism. Restorative justice is a process where all parties involved in a particular offense come together in order to collectively resolve the aftermath and future implications of the specific crime (Roche 343). Restorative justice is the the ideal response for the majority of youth involved in criminal activity, as it s a rehabilitative method that produces positive healing processes and outcomes, especially in comparison to retributive justice approaches. Martin Wright explains that restorative justice involves a fundamental change in the response a society has towards individuals who harm one another. Wright elaborates that this terminology shifts the meaning of crime, stressing the fact that people are harmed, rather than a crime was broken (Wright 216). This highlights the ultimate source of restorative justice, and its strong relationship with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Slave codes stripped enslaved African Americans of their identity, making them forget where they came from or belong. Our modern conception of casualties includes those who have been psychologically damaged by warfare. This distinction did not exist during the Civil War. Soldiers suffering from what we would now recognize as post traumatic stress disorder were uncatalogued and uncared for. Gettysburg ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. How The Virginia State Statue Of Anti Miscegenation And... For years there have been forbidden love and marriage in the history of the United States, I decided to write a reflection on my thoughts views, fact findings and information regarding biracial marriages and segregation laws that were discriminatory in history. I read the short story about the Loving family and their pursuit to the Supreme Court in 1967, I thought of my own family history and realized that my paternal grandparents would ve been prosecuted had they lived in Virginia or any other state that prohibited bi racial marriages in the 1900s. My grandfather was an Irish man and my grandmother was a Native American Crow Creek Dakotah/HoChunk woman, luckily they weren t victims of the injustice that has happened, doesn t mean they didn t fight their own battles against prejudice and discrimination but they weren t convicted of any crimes for their decision to marry and have a bi racial a.k.a, half breed family. I chose to write about how the Virginia State Statue of Anti Miscegenation in 1924 directly violated the Fourteenth Amendment. The Fourteenth Amendment is such a powerful part of the Constitution because it protects minority rights and recognizes us as true citizens of the United States. My ancestors, like many others have been exposed to disease purposely, tortured, sexually abused, physically beaten, mutilated, raped, sexually abused/tortured, starved, and forced to give up their way of life (language, culture and beliefs)before being forced to ... • 31. Stump s Account Of Love Love Sumps account of Love. Stump begins her discussion on the nature of love by firstly making it known that she will be using Aquinas account. Stump is a notable Aquinas scholar and this is important to know as she goes on to contrast his view with more contemporary ones. I will analyze her arguments and discussions as to why she is correct in offering Aquinas account as the best that we have available to us. I will mainly focus on her telling of Aquinas account of love and will contrast it with what she writes about Kolodny s and the other accounts that she mentions in her chapter.. Stump begins by talking about the responsiveness account of love: On one account, love is a response of the lover to qualities he perceives and values in the beloved. On this way of thinking about love, there are intrinsic characteristics of the beloved person that are especially attractive to the lover, whose love is engendered in him by these characteristics. So there is a reason for the love the lover has for his beloved, and that is the set of characteristics that the lover finds so valuable in the beloved (Stump 86). The intrinsic qualities that Stump mentions here are those that one person will value in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the article the Kolodny sums up the current discussion on the nature of love by saying that We will not get beyond this impasse so long as we assume that any reason for loving a person would have to be a nonrelational feature that she has. We see from this statement that is is suggested the Kolodny s reason for loving someone has more to do with the relationship with the beloved. It is stated that relationship is due to past encounters and interactions that fosters the love for someone. Kolodny offers his explanation on his account for love by giving the ... Abuse is the destroyer of young people s faith and most of the time it causes long term mental problems. There are many types of abuses. Many women and children are affected every day. Most of the causes affect your body. Physical effects are as simple as having clothing that are worn and torn to shreds, having bad odor coming from your skin and/or your breath. Another type of physical abuse can be shown by being tested for sexually transmitted diseases and showing up positive for any type of the disease. Many women and children are the first victims, because they are more vulnerable and unable to fight. Men are also known to be victims, but rarely. Men are more known to be the suspects in these types of abuses. Everyone is at some point picked to be the victims to an unbearably harsh abuse that may or may not be easy to get away from. • 34. Social Class in Jane Austen Throughout this essay , I will be looking at the theme of social class in Jane Austen s work ; critically analysed by Juliet McMaster, a chapter taken from The Cambridge Companion to Jane Austen , edited by Edward Copeland and Juliet McMaster. Jane Austen s novels at first glance tell a story of romance, set within the landowning society amidst country estates, and their cultivation of tea parties, social outings, and extravagant balls; ladies frolicking in flowing gowns through decorated rooms, and men deliberating over their game of whist. The storybook romance usually unfolds in these familiar settings, and inevitably involves the conflict of two lovers separated by differences in social class, and the resulting influence of the ... This system unfairly gives privilege to one family member by giving him /her everything, for the preservation of the family name and the estate throughout the generations. Hence the five Longbourn girls are to be turned out upon their father s death, since the estate is entailed to Mr. Collins. Charles Bingley is the most we witness of social mobility. He is a gentleman who lives a lavish life, and whose money was acquired by trade . He walks in his father s footsteps, and once married to Jane, he does buy an estate. This means that the next generation will be a step upwards in their social ladder. His sisters on the other hand are status and power hungry and are proud and conceited . Darcy, rebutes, very realistically that the Bennet sisters connection with trade, will prove to be an obstacle to their happiness and will lessen their chance of marrying men of prestige. The quality of humans is judged by moral and humane standards. Charlotte Lucas chooses to marry the pompous Mr. Collins, not for love but it is simply a marriage of convenience, in which she is the one finding it convenient. Through this Jane Austen presents the bleak and futile existence of women, as well as the happier outcome, of the heroine who finds fulfillment in marrying the man she loves. The servants in Jane Austen s novels represent the poor working class. The poor are seldom mentioned, except through Lady Catherine s scolding of degradation. Human worth should ... • 35. High-Stakes Testing in American Schools Essay The NCLB Act has obligated the government to find a way to keep track of progress, which, in their minds, is administering high stakes tests. High stakes testing is scrutinized all the time, since some believe it is the only indicator of tracking students and teachers. They seemed to have been ridiculed by many and favored by few; nonetheless there are significant disparities in the public s and government s opinion. According to Dunne (2000), Tests aren t just tests anymore at least not high stakes tests, which are being used in some states to determine which students stay back a grade, which high school seniors receive diplomas, which teachers get bonuses, and more. The inequitable consequences that teachers and administrators would have to bare are uncalled for. These exams generate pessimistic attitudes that become contagious and infect the educational environment. Extensive research shows that students who are held back do not progress academically, suffer a loss of self esteem, and are more likely to drop out of school, according to FairTest (2008). Each year more and more states are requiring exit exams in order to receive a diploma. These forms of high stakes tests seem to be more idealistic for schools across the U.S. as they begin to adopt and modify them. Exit exams have brought about many lawsuits throughout the country though, since they deny students who fail a high school diploma. Many say that the exams are not impartial and that they discriminate against English language learners, minority students, special education students, and economically disadvantaged students. All in all the exit exams do serve a more meaningful purpose than other forms of high stakes tests. According to Urbina (2010), exit exams have facilitated for educators to locate deficiencies in their curricula and brought about clearer guidelines. Also, they invigorate students to share the responsibility of their academic achievement, since students become more serious about them. Politicians want to abolish the stigma a high school diploma currently carries and win back ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The meaning of this theme is that we all want to do things that are practical to society even if it feels wrong in our hearts. The main driving component which draws people too conformity are the desire to be accepted in certain status groups. People fear that if they do not conform to society, they will be breaking the social contract, therefore be rejected by society at not being able to achieve their personal goals. This individual believes that lies would destroy friendships and lives of others. This relates to the topic because when we conform to society, we become dishonest with ourselves. We lie about our feelings and emotions to do what is expected. In the poem it says lying could really hurt a person inside. However, by becoming truthful and showing our true self could also hurt us because by doing so, we could be judged and talked about in a negative light. Leah Silverman s Lenses tells the story of a young surgeon, Corinne, who is asked to replace the vivid eyes of a friend with two round, steel lenses. She finds herself in a difficult situation where she must decide whether or not to go through with the operation, risking ruining her friend s depth and character. The overall message of the story is that the people are made as unique individuals. The story emphasizes how the eyes contribute to the individuality and beauty of a person, and the fact that nothing can replace them. This relates to the theme because as people try to fit into society, they start to change and become someone they are not. It is important to know the significance of being unique because it tells so much about our character and feelings. Also, though a person goes through a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Sonnet 130 by William Shakespeare and Valentine by Carol... The two poems Sonnet 130 and Valentine present similar ideas about love, though they are written centuries apart. Sonnet 130 (written by William Shakespeare) is like a love poem turned on its head. Instead of describing her in a positive light, he criticise her physical features. He describes the flaws of her body, her smell, even the sound of her voice. Then, at the end, he changes his tune and tells us about his real and complete love for her. Valentine (written by Carol Ann Duffy) describes a gift for a lover; such as you would give on Valentine s Day. It is a rather unusual present an onion. The poem explains why it is a powerful gift of love, much more than the clichéd roses or box of chocolates. The onion becomes a metaphor for love, and so the poem is about love as well as Valentine gifts. Both of the poems are quite cynical about the old fashioned presentation of love. The moods of the poems portray a dark but realistic version of love and they try to tell you that you shouldn t go over the top with love and be all lovey dovey. They both feel the physical features are not what you should be judged on, but the characteristics and actual person itself. They are both truthful and as a result can be quite critical and harsh in tone. Valentine shows this when Carol Ann Duffy says that the onion is a wobbling photo of grief, she is being very blunt and trying to tell us that when you open up the onion, it will make it cry. This is like a metaphor for the juice, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
