The mathematical symbol = (equal) may have many meanings or nuances,
which often hinders understanding math formulas. Thus the author just
strongly wants to propose/propagate new symbols similar to the equal
sign (=), so this document intends to clarify different nuances of that
existing symbol, and presents new symbols. Especially among them, the
symbol that means the operation “making the restriction that both side
are equal” would be rather innovative, which is expresses as the following
picture. This symbol would be used for “conditional probability” and
“statistical hypothesis” and so on.

4. The proposal of equal-similar symbols :
symbols Reference name Definition
:= Left-definition The operation to define the undefined symbol appeared
on the left side.
=: Right-definition The operation to define the undefined symbol appeared
on the right side.
Equal-restriction The operation to put the restriction/condition that both
sides of that symbol have same values.
= Normal-equal To show that both side of that symbol is being proved to
have same values.
← Substitution The operation to put the restriction/condition that the
left side has the value of the right side, temporally.
The author intends that the symbol above have rather literal definition shown above.
He admits that more plain explanation and examples would be necessary. If those
symbols are properly used, existing math formulas would become understandable
much more, especially for those who are reading statistic theory books.
