Plagiarism DiscussionIn this scenario, my next steps in speaking with my classmate would
be to address the concerns about citing the research articles incorrectly. An important
ethical issue in nursing education is the concerns of plagiarism. Plagiarism is the violation of
academic integrity and a continuing issue in nursing education (Carter et al., 2019). I would
inform my classmate that we have resources that we can utilize to help guide us in citing
resources correctly; We have access to many resources such as the APA 7th Edition Guide or
templates provided by Grand Canyon University (GCU) in the GCU Library. Also, the
importance of using Turnitin or Lopeswrite software is essential as it promotes academic
integrity by running through the contents submitted and detects plagiarism.ORDER HERE

Plagiarism DiscussionPlagiarism can negatively reflect on the credibility and integrity of the
individuals involved, the university, and the profession. To gain credibility, the individuals
must use reliable and valid sources to back up their assertions in their research. Healthcare
is driven by evidence and knowledge from science and research that guides decision making
for healthcare providers. Because of this, it is important for individuals who are doing
evidence-based practice projects to demonstrate trustworthiness, credibility, and academic
integrity especially with such a respected and trusted profession such as nursing at an
accredited university. If this unethical habit in nursing education continues to occur, this
may place the individual as risk for jeopardizing their reputation as both a student and
future nurse; if this action is not corrected it may carry on to their nursing practice. As for
the university, it may lose its accreditation as plagiarism policies are not being followed.
